Excellent article which you obviously didn’t read.
It explains in detail why it’s important to get the vaccine.

PHW said the vaccines had helped keep Covid hospital numbers much lower during the third wave.

Although 80% of patients have been double-dosed with a vaccine, public health officials said this is not evidence that the vaccine is not working - and that vaccines keep 95% of people out of hospital.
Without its protection, the numbers in hospital would be far greater, they added.

  • The hospital admissions rate is 53 per 100,000 of the population in those unvaccinated compared to 32 per 100,000 in those fully vaccinated, in the past month

In regards to claims that COVID-19 vaccines cause infertility, these claims have been promoted by a German anti-vaxxer who falsely claimed that the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein and syncytin-1 are so similar that immunity against one would cross-react with the other — this is completely false and even the German anti-vaxxer who made this up admits that he has no evidence whatsoever to support this claim

There’s so must conflicting or misinformation on this topic that it’s confusing for anyone with an open mind to know what to believe. In my relatively small circle of folks in southeast TN, I now know 4 healthy unvaxed men from 33-47 who have died from Covid in the past 3 weeks. That’s scary to me.

How's this for a Covid effect? My wife was visiting her Mom yesteray in a nursing home and her mask kept riding up her face and got into her eye a couple of times. This morning she had an ulcer on her cornea and went to the Dr. They think she's got a staph infection in her eye from the mask.

I've covered the article not only here on VN but also on another site. The other 87% are vaccinated. The math is easy there. It is true that most of Wales is vaccinated but that doesn't change the math on the 13% number

That’s scary. I believe our own resident pediatrician talked about the rise in staff infections in the face due to mask wearing.

Broken down, the hospital admissions rate for the under 60s is 3.5 times higher for unvaccinated, compared to those vaccinated.
The case rate amongst the unvaccinated population is far higher - 1,026 cases per 100,000, compared to 348 cases per 100,000 in those who have been double-dosed with a vaccine. The median age of someone testing positive is 34.

The vaccine clearly is helping but those numbers aren't what they told us a year ago. Six months from now, it might be 2x or 1.5x. It's not working as well as they'd hoped

Is it possible it’s working great on the original variant of Covid for which it was developed. Aren’t we on about the 4th variant now?

You know, I don't think that's really true. If you don't know what to believe, just believe it's about like a serious flu epidemic, like 1918. It takes a little different route to kill you, but not much different. Death rate is not much different. The number of people who are immune is not much different. The number of people who've had it is not much different. The degree that it's contagious is not much different. You don't have to imagine any of that.

The misinformation is just for fun, I think. Also, take vitamin D. Cures everything.

I’m going to have to disagree with you here. Just in this thread there are passionate antivaxxers claiming vaccines don’t help and it’s nothing more to worry about than the common flu and they pose links to articles supporting their beliefs. On the other side of the fence there’s the crowd trying to follow published guidelines and can’t believe most everyone hasn’t gotten jabbed and post links to articles supporting their beliefs.

And I take vitamin D and still have some ailments!

That's just for fun. If a vaccine doesn't help, then what's the big deal? It doesn't really matter all that much whether it works or not. They tried. We all know masks don't really work, right? But that's okay. Wearing a mask is not gonna kill you. Starvation is what will kill you. If nobody does any work, you'll starve. Worry about that. It's very possible that the "coronavirus" leaked out of a building that was supposed to be full of coronaviruses. That was its purposes, so that might be so. But it's not interesting or actionable. Nobody's gonna put it back.

The jibber-jabber is all in fun. Reality contains much less drama for people who aren't jibber-jabber fans.

Lost one from our ER overnight. He’d been there since Sun/Mon around midnight and on BiPAP at 100%. On arrival, his initial O2 sat was 3. They moved the probe to his ear lobe and it went all the way up to 8. He held steady, but not great until last night. They finally had to tube him and he later coded and died. History of asthma and unvaccinated.

He was 35.

I’ve noticed as the vaccination rate goes up in NETN the Positivity rate is going down at an almost equal percentage. I’m sure that just from natural immunity though 🙄
