Kirby went 7-5 at Georgia with a loaded roster his first year. Just have to remember it takes a year to implement your culture and system. And it gives you a year to recruit more players. We are lucky the 32 rule is coming and we will take full advantage. I think we will look like a whole new team next year. I’m not expecting to win the East year two, but I fully expect eight wins if JH is the guy.

Putting win totals on JH is foolishness. He needs 7 years regardless of what happens in Year 1 & 2.

Kentucky stuck with Stoops even when people were calling him a failure midway through year 3 and it has proven to be quite fruitful for them.

We need to do the same.

I think JH can coach, but unless he substantially improves on recruiting he won’t be here long.

You think those freshmen are what brought them to the NC game? Sony, Chubb, Roquan, etc… those were all previous left overs and they were their best players. And we will finish 20-25th and bring in another 10 or so transfers. We will be fine.

Not fair to compare our situation with anyone. Pretty sure Kirby never had the transfers or looming sanctions. NCAA transfer rule was terrible timing. Georgia (no other school) has ever self destructed like us over the past few years.

Spreadsheet decision-making. It's all about revenue. If you're going to spreadsheet a decision, you'd better do it when the timing is right or you have a high probability of upgrading what you lose.

A lot of these long-time donors support UT in other areas, like facilities improvements, endowments and academics. Many were multi-sport donors that supported UT teams when they weren't good-- and did so for generations.

Big time donors don’t give 2 craps about a 20,000 price increase. Maybe people that donate small amounts will. The whole thing is stupid. If you are forced to give a donation it isn’t a donation to begin with. Just charge more for the ticket if you want more money.
