I started a rumor in Gainesville that there was 3 hour buy 1 get two Jorts free sale at the Gap Saturday night. Refreshments were to be provided. Natty light and fried finger food. That should thin the herd.

Also paid off the campus security to let Mrs. Mullen in the dorms Friday night.

I also thought a rumor about this game being one of those catch a criminal stings might be fruitful.
Too much?

On vacation in Florida…. The radio station that I listened …… did a segment where callers had to guess the city where crazy Florida man stories originated from.

I want this puppy.

It's easy as hell to intake more than you can possibly burn in a day even if you spend the entire day exercising and have a high metabolism. We have made that not only possible but very easy to accomplish. "Bad" diet as in eating crappy food or too much of it isn't the same as a bad diet that includes some of the caloric monstrosities we have today.

Yeah these exercise takes are bad for 99% of the population. You may be able to “out-exercise” a bad diet for a few days or weeks or months. But you cannot sustain it over your adult life and the eating habits will catch up to you.

Losing weight and maintaining a healthy weight is all about controlling intake and lifestyle changes regarding food. It’s fine to splurge on fast food semi-occasionally, but eating it routinely multiple times per week is a recipe for disaster.

Exercise is supremely important for multiple reasons but food is king.

and two away games upcoming, so no chance of any visits in the near future...

anyway, it's not how you start, it's how you finish. so we'll see what happens.
We just need to win the games we should win, and have one win against someone we shouldn’t beat. First chance for the latter is in 2 days. We have already lost the one we shouldn’t have lost, so we are due at some point to win the one we shouldn’t win.

When the so called “healthiest” man alive dropped dead while jogging….I said screw it….. I honestly think there are two main things to staying healthy is being a healthy weight( no matter what food that you consume) and living as stress free of a life as you can….. stress is harder on your body than any kind of diet.

Healthy people dying of arrhythmias, etc is tragic—but rare. What is vastly more common is cardiovascular disease from DM, HTN, etc which is propagated by many many factors

I’ve got a great story from Malaysia about running a guy down who groped one of our ministry children. I chased him across lanes of traffic, jumped off a small bridge into a creek bed and down into the woods… all over the courses of about a mile. I caught him out of breath and laid hands on him till the child’s teenage brother caught up to us and promptly gave him a rap on the break. He tried to stab me with a broken piece of glass in the woods… may have broken the skin, I can’t remember… and I applied my backhand in displeasure. anyways dragged him out of there and there happened to be two police cars there. The girl ID’d him at the station

😯 That’s amazing.

VN… You may be hard but are you “Vigilante Nick chasing down delinquents in the backwoods of Malaysia and getting cut” hard?

Does anyone listen to John Reed? Is that guy always that negative or does he hate Tennessee football?

Prob mad his 15 minutes of insider fame is over since Brice is back in the college game and doesn’t have to feed his info through someone to be heard.

Speaking of Brice, such a weird situation. Did he just burn so many bridges with that Haney 247 story back in day that he was blackballed by folks? I know for while people he made mad were purposely feeding him bad info to make him look stupid after that article. Things seems to be smoothed over now that he is with football scoop but always was curious what happened behind scenes for a few years

I mean it’s not really that hard…. When I played college sports I didn’t necessarily eat the best lol, and then when I joined the military and was single I definitely didn’t eat very well 😂….

I think I eat worse now that I am married though and do way less exercise…. It’s starting to catch me…. But I’m one of those weirdos who can drop my weight in a month….

Having been there, done that…

Don’t depend on that to continue. You will hit a point where it doesn’t anymore…

I agree but our average life expectancy is 80 years old so we are doing ok…. Maintaining a healthy weight and reducing stress will go a long way toward keeping someone healthy.

It’s all about caloric intake versus output…. It doesn’t matter as much what you eat. Most people that eat fast food all the time live a sedentary lifestyle which leads to them being obese.

eh. the Pitt game was in the toss up category anyway, so it wound up a coulda/woulda/shoulda, but i don't think it was a game that most put a W next to before hand.

sometime in the next 3 years it would be really great to beat a team, or teams, of consequence. understanding, it ain't happening this year, and that's not a mortal sin for this staff or anything.

we just haven't done that enough in the other coaching changes for some real momentum to stick.....and stay. and the teams we did beat that we probably shouldn't have didn't really have enough cache to really make a statement. USCe 09, USCe 13, Auburn 18...and even beating UGA and UF in 16, well we know what we did to validate those wins that season, so we couldn't even really hang our hat on those either....

i just hope this staff understands all of that, and what kind of impact the ebbs and flows of the last 15 years has had on this program.

anyway. not trying to be a debbie downer or anything. this is just where i am with our program right now. this staff has the opportunity to rectify a lot of that, but the PR job they have to do with 'the brand' is as important as what needs to happen on the field. and what happens on the field would help expedite the image change this brand desperately needs.

now, if we want to go ahead and get that started this weekend....i'm all for it. :)

It's amazing. I wish I could forget the story and experience it again for the first time once again. It was so good at immersion that I felt lonely when it was over. I missed my "friends" and all the good times at camp. I actually think Rockstar is doing people a grave disservice by selling RDO separately. Some folks are going to buy that because it's cheaper and they're going to miss out on one of the best games of all time.

Before my daughter was born I’d play for a couple hours at a time, getting lost in how immense the scenery is in that game. When i’d finally stop it would feel like I’d been camping. Totally awesome game.
