People always forget that Peyton had two(!) Hall of Fame level pass rushers at the same time for like a decade lol

Yes, definitely more than capable. They should have been better defensively when you've got those two pass rushers. And Peyton should have a much better playoff record and more SBs than he does. Some of that is on him. But it also isn't a coincidence they won the SB that year Bob Sanders was an all-world safety.

Brady has SEVEN rings. Lets just pretend half (3.5) are the result of great defenses… that leaves another 3.5 that are the result of his great play which is still almost more than anyone else.

Where were those great defenses when Eli did it to em… TWICE!!

I love Peyton, but I watched all of his playoff bow outs and they weren’t the direct result of bad defenses. He was a different player in January

I agree with you there. He had playoff stinkers where he threw a boatload of INTs. You aren't a .500 playoff QB purely because of bad defenses.

Having said that, I bet he wins at least one more in Indy if he had consistently solid D. And he won the one he did in Denver in spite of himself, so perhaps it kind of evened out.

The Pats D played well in both games. Allowed 17 and 21 points respectively.

Eli and the Giants beating Brady 2x in SBs, and Eli not winning another playoff game outside of those 2 SB runs, will always be one of my favorite sports factoids.
