What’s the likelihood that we see civil unrest soon?

No, there has been no compromise, there has only been attempts to end run the constitution and thankfully most have been blocked by the courts.
In the legislating beehive of Franklin Roosevelt's New Deal, the National Firearms Act of 1934 and the Gun Control Act of 1938 regulated such guns, banned some buyers and made gun dealers register with the government.

The NRA worked with Congress and the White House on those acts and supported their enforcement. The same was true when these restrictions were extended and tightened following the 1963 assassination of President John F. Kennedy, and again by a 1968 gun bill responding to the assassinations of Martin Luther King Jr. and Sen. Robert Kennedy.

Sounds a little like compromise to me. Ask @Rickyvol77 he knows everything.

And those compromises were a mistake and should never be repeated. Gave you guys an inch and your still trying to take a country mile.

Well one of us has studied constitutional law and actually applied it in actual real life court cases and the other one babysits middle schoolers and teaches mediocrity mixed with emotional personal political points.
You would think you would have developed a little wisdom along the way......but I always knew the correlation wasn't very strong.

The sad thing is you have passed it on to your children who also will carry on the same emotional drivel in political science or some such nonsense but never actually contribute to society in a meaningful way.

You just said there had been no compromise.

Regardless of what you and @Rickyvol77 claim to know; there are limits, courts have upheld those limits, there will be limits in the future, and courts will uphold those limits.

You are absurdly clueless.

Meanwhile some of us actually have saved lives and contribute to society while also being highly successful, while some go to be “political activists” and waste their lives on meaningless feelz on things that will never happen because they are too dumb to know anything other than what their political party tells them 😂. But hey she will become the best Starbucks barista out there I bet

Societal living is complicated.
It is when society inserts itself into others lives.

There is an inherent dichotomy in pretending you care about societal freedom if that society is mandatory, and predefined without input from those required to be part of it.

I made a mistake. I'll clarify, there should never be another compromise outside of drafting an amendment to the constitution.

Most rational and logical people understand this. It’s so funny the people who think “gun control” like they want is ever coming here

I know that no true gun control or gun confiscation will ever come to the US. For several reasons, no matter what these anti gun nutjobs feel.
Gun confiscation certainly isn't going to happen. Most reasonably centered citizens want uniformity from state to state as to purchasing guns. That could happen

Who is she? One of my daughters?

I'm almost certain I have never once brought another poster's kids into a discussion (in a negative way).
As soon as someone does, I immediately write them off as a person of limited substance and understanding.

That is the current 2A stance. It's unfortunate.

But once again, I appreciated your consistency.
