Kyle Rittenhouse - The Truth in 11 Minutes

Have you voiced support for the policeman who shot Ashli Babbitt? He was defending US property which was actually his job? Not to mention he was defending people.

I don’t care about her death. She broke into a federal building and got shot. Do I entire support his actions? Idk. I wasn’t there and I’ve not seen video of that specific encounter but I wouldn’t prosecute the cop for it.

Claiming he was defending people is probably a stretch. He may have thought these people were at risk, but there seems to be no evidence of such. Just like there’s no evidence that this was a “violent insurrection” or a “coup attempt”. I imagine if people were showing up for either of those (insurrection or coup), that they would come armed and actually harm others

The little gun toting bastard shot some dude that probably deserved it but he shouldn’t have been there in the first place according to some. He is poor man’s Paul Kersey. Can’t wait for the Hollywood production where Michael Cera plays the part of Kyle Rittenhouse.

Irrelevant to this specific issue

The point is you’re only blaming one person for traveling. The distance traveled by KR nor by any of the people he shot is of any relevance to this case.

If they came from real far away and he was a local, would it change your opinion? Would it devalue their lives?

It’s a worthless argument

No one should have been there, especially damaging others property, but they were..and so were people protecting the property. Now if the FBI drone footage shows Rittenhouse antagonizing the rioters then that will have proof in contradiction to the manu videos showing him helping hurt people putting out fire as well as the interview he gave..until that footage is shown
.fact is he was chased and attacked with out provocation (as of yet)

I find it odd that you don't think he was defending the people who were inside doing their jobs. If someone were breaking down your fence and then your doors would't you defend your family? There may not have been a coup attempt but there was violence.

What violence? Who was harmed?

The cops standing right beside her didn't feel she posed a deadly threat.

I would happily engage in a genuine exchange of ideas and opinions. I just did so with Septic

The “genuine exchange of ideas” where he laid out a concise set of facts that explained his basis for his “looking for trouble” comment and then spent numerous replies refuting your predictably nonresponsive attempts to move the goalposts and/or strawman what he said (posts 561, 563, 568, and 570)?

Yeah, that’s precisely the kind of dipshittery that I decided not to subject myself to, today.

This is awesome. I’m excited. Please tell me how exactly I moved the goal post and straw maned his arguments

You asked him how Rittenhouse “went looking for trouble” he explained it clearly and concisely and instead of responding you pivoted to arguing about self defense. That’s moving the goalposts. Need more explanation or should I move on to the strawman?

I’ll quote this again so there’s no confusion.

Here you’re clearly providing a counter of someone showing up with the intent to kill.

Are you proclaiming this young man did the same? If so, other than bringing a gun, wth are you basing that on?

If you don’t believe he did, then you’re just providing absurd and meaningless hypotheticals for no apparent reason

Substitute "and killing" for "to kill" and then you won't miss the point of the post.

I think he knew he was going to shoot at somebody. That doesn't mean he's guilty of murder in a court of law, but I think he's a great fool if he thought he could go in there as an armed vigilante against a mob and not have to use his gun.

So it is OK then to sit at home with your Pabst Blue Ribbon while your city burns around you then. Is that what you are saying?

It wasn't even his city.... or even his State.

He was looking for trouble and found it.

Truthfully, if your "city is burning" and your answer is to show up to a riot 'strapped' then you're a ******* moron. Let the police handle this...

All I know is if KR were a lefty showing up to shoot violent proud boys in Charlottesville or the mob on 1/6, then a lot of people here would be flip-flopping.

I’m sorry. I’m genuinely lost. When you said “showing up to shoot” that implied his intent was to kill people when he came? Am I misreading? Did you misphrase?

Jesus Christ. Forget it. You're not even asking about the point of the post so IDC to clarify.

Genuine question. Our last exchange did you feel I was “moving the goal posts” or “straw man”-ing your argument

No, I am on the record several times condemning the actions of the rioters.

Would you let your 17 year old son leave the house with a gun to attend a riot being staged by misguided leftists?

He brought the only tool necessary to the party to shoot someone, locked and loaded...... and then proceeded to engage in behavior that would predispose him to violence.

He deserves no sympathy.

I missed where KR was waving his gun Round threatening people...i did she where he had it behind him most of the night and even after the shooting while trying to turn himself in...I am amazed that video evidence isn't enough to prove self defense. Also he did fire a warning shot to the ground before the first guy kept coming..then got hit with a skate board and fired..then had a gun shoved in his face and fired......
