Plus I’m just out of options. I don’t want to deliver packages for $15 an hour or work an entry level QA job for $14 an hour for the rest of my life. I got a worthless degree, made my bed, time to sleep in it.

That isn’t to say I’m not passionate about history, I am. I love it. I just don’t love the rigid curriculum I’ll be forced to teach by the state based on nothing more than indoctrination rather than facts. And that will be what ends my career in the only field I can manage a career in.

Elevate to teaching college history and you'll enjoy it far more. I have a friend who did a similar path, he's working at the on campus library at his alma mater now and seems to love it.

Danny brought his entire fundraising team from UCF and has run off/irritated a lot of people. It’ll be treated as growing pains if we start winning in football. It’ll be a turning point against him if we don’t.

So, to stay popular, Danny needs to immediately:

1. Stop trying to modernize/increase fundraising

I started working for a company at $5 an hour with no benefits. 29 years later, I was still there at $7 an hour with a week's paid vacation. Boom.









OK, I was making a lot more than $7 an hour after 29 years, so find a good company and move up is an option. Wish you the best.

I mean it depends on the market you're in and the skills/experience you have, right? I have a friend who works at the State Museum in TN with a bach in history, makes a good living. Get a Masters/PhD or get a part time job at a museum, shadowing a college professor, or even an archaeology group.
No idea what you're talking about with "indoctrination" but not sure VN is the best place to discuss it lmao

I just took a job as a substitute teacher while I’m in a program to get my teaching certificate post-degree.. which is me basically admitting defeat on my history degree being useful for anything other than teaching

But I asked some of my old teachers at my high school what I’m walking into and he said it’s a hell hole. It’s the biggest school in the state, and very diverse. Racial tensions “haven’t been this high here since the early 90’s.”

Less serious note, but still need help on it.. my apartment has these tiny little gnats flying around. Not many, but I’ll notice one here or there. Or fly across the TV, etc.

My house is clean, the only “dirty” thing about it is having two cats in a one bedroom apartment. So where are they coming from? How do I get rid of them? I dumped both litter boxes hoping that’d help, but it hasn’t.

Sounds like fruit flies. They like garbage disposals. And fruit, of course. Do not let it get over ripe if you leave it on a counter.

Same thing happened in my apartment about five years ago. Turns out my wife had put away her lunchbox with a banana in it.

@Christian Lowe Question does your apartment attach to another apartment and is the other apartment clean, also, could you possibly maybe be near a trash chute?

Buy a gnat trap. If that kills them but they keep coming back... Put Dawn and 15 minutes of hot water down all your drains. That is a likely culprit.

The question is not can fans figure things like this out. I agree that we can. The question is how much data do you need to support your opinion? I think after two games, we do not have nearly enough data, especially since exactly none of us have seen Bailey play in a real game in Heupel's system.

Oh for sure on that end of it.

I’m not a Bailey guy by any stretch. I think there’s a reason Chaney/Pruitt and Heupel/Golesh didn’t/don’t think very highly of him.

What I think is happening in this discussion is *fans* can’t come to grips with the fact there is no good answer.
