running the ball in the title game against the sooners. The guy actually has John 3:16 on his eye black--the word 'John' under one eye and "3:16" under another. I know he's very religious but good grief...get a grip, dude. If you're a believer, or religious, great--but in my view it should be a personal thing, a quiet, at home or in the church thing. But with so many Christian zealots it's not--gotta try to pull everybody else out on that faith limb with me.

After I post this, though, I will feel good and point a finger up toward the sky....

LOL Where have you been? It's also Phil 4:13 sometimes.

Look 'em up. Good verses. And they apply to all of us, not just the zealots.

I've seen him wear Phil 4:13

Why should it be kept in the homes and churches? If theres anything the world need is people who preach faith, love, and peace. Tim Tebow has so much respect from me, because he uses his fame to get the Word of God to others who aren't as fortunate to be born in our country, or needs a encouraging word to help them move on. If it bothers you that much, than turn the other cheek

he was proudly displaying them in the postgame press conference as well.
Anytime I see a player wearing their religion on their sleeve, I think back to something Bob Knight said after hearing a Texas A&M kicker thank the Almighty for him making a game winning field goal: "Does that mean God decided to screw Texas?"

It is not meant to be a private thing. He is doing what he is supposed to. He is sharing his faith with everyone he comes in contact with. I have so much respect for him. He praises God for his GOD-GIVEN TALENT. Unlike some of these other football players!

The hardcore proselytizing crowd has done more to hurt Christianity than any force in the history of man, IMO.

I have respect for Tebow. Why can't he practice his religion out side of his house or church? What next, are you going to have a problem with praying before a game? it is a free country after all.

I can't speak for the A&M kicker, but Tebow praises God for giving him the gifts that he has been given, not for beating OU or anyone else. The role of a Christian is to spread the word and increase the number of believers. How are you going to do that by keeping it at home or in the church. If you're in the church you are likely already a believer or on the verge of becoming one. Props to Tebow for doing what he (and I) believe are the right things to do.

I really can’t stand the fact that people hate on TT for the simple fact that he wears Gator Blue. TT is one of the most stand-up athletes maybe ever, and just because he has whooped up on us over the past 2 years...we think he’s scum.

The guy is class plain and simple. I’ll admit it, I’m a fan of his, not for his athleticism, but for the way he uses his popularity not for himself but to spread the message of God.

And he doesn’t even preach it to us. A verse on his eye paint, a God Bless after an interview, what’s your all's problems?

Respect the kid for who he is, not the colors he wears.

I guarantee if the kid wore orange you all would lust after him even if he murdered someone. Oh wait, seems like a former UT grad did just that. Maybe we need more kids like TT on the Hill..

End rant... :)

you can't win for being a bad guy thug in athletics and you can't win for being a good guy Christian in athletics either for some.

Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature

I'm still trying to figure out why I can be arrested for praying at work, but Muslims have a prayer room at Dell where they stop the line 4 times a day so they can go pray. Beats me

I doubt you will be arrested but maybe because it holds up the drive-thru when you do. Get back to work! :p

I think he has won. He is almost universally acclaimed as a great guy, yadda, yadda.......

I just think in your face, over the top proselytizing hurts more than it helps. Being a great example, living according to the Bible and carrying the word to people in a personal manner is more effective IMO. The public display stuff is a huge turnoff. Again, my opinion.

Because we have been forced to cater to everyone elses needs, disregarding our own believes. This has become a problem and will be the downfall of America

I'll agree to a certain point, like when the Mormons show up to my doorstep or stop me at the mall. I can see how that would drive someone the other way. But Tebow, is doing exactly what he should be doing, the exact way he's doing it
