Fourth down call - Could they have run a play call worse than that?

The fourth down call was horrible.. Snap the ball five yards deep then slowly had the ball off to 175 pound running back up the middle. Why do our coaches do this ?. What is the success rate for a quarterback sneak with six inches to make. Heupel must have got trained under the Butch Jones school of quarterback play... A touchdown ties the game !!!!!!!

I think a lot of it is on Hooker. If he keeps the ball on the read, it's a walk in TD
U are a very smart football fan. All of it is on Hooker. These are the quick decisions that you hear the coaches talking about. Hooker saw the Saftey come down and a edge rusher squeeze, but at the snap it looked like they were both coming for him. He had his mind made up to give it to Wright. IMHO, Hooker was supposed to ride the back then pull. Had he done that he would have easily gotten the 1st down and may have scored if he could beat the Saftey 1 on 1. If the 1st option was to run right at the defense they would have put a bigger back in the game.

Coach said the exact opposite.

You are comparing a tuba player to a real QB who finished 2nd in the Heisman. You must be a real Norman Einstein. Did you know we had a back-up center, a back-up QB and the 3rd string rb in at the time. I doubt they had ever practiced a play under center before.

Time to start looking for a new coaching staff! Oh "Danny Boy" needs to man up....

The loss had more to do with the teams self-inflicted bad execution than anything else. And still had a chance at the end. Starters missing, dumb penalties, fumbles, missing wide open receivers. They did everything they could to give the win to Pitt. I think there is hope here folks, you just have to see it.

Man have anybody else ever thought about how long now we have heard the same thing under different staffs. Didn’t execute, missed assignments, penalties, not everyone was on the same page, and etc. I mean either we are hiring undisciplined minded coaches or our players seem to have focusing problems and short attention spans.

And that why it's bad coaching. How many times do we hear, 1st, 2nd, 3rd string get reps on the same plays? 4th and 1 plays, 3rd and 10 screens should be known by every mix of personnel down to the waterboy! If HH hadn't practiced a QB sneak with every center on the team; that's bad coaching!!!!!

This is on the coaches and the team.

Banks in WWE
Cade with the late hit
Penalties taking the team from inside the 5 to out of field goal range completely
Missed assignments
And bad bad coverages

If you seriously think Banks was coached to do that or a fifth year senior then you should probably stop watching football
