I think if you told anyone in here that we lose to Pitt, everyone could see it. Heck, I predicted it in the pick the score thread. I think it’s more the fact that we should have beaten them but we were a stumbling block to ourselves. I mean we were down our best offensive playmaker, our starting center, Young (which who knows what he is), and lost Hyatt and Small at the half and still should have beaten them. We aren’t as bad as I thought we were honestly, but up and down QB play leads to up and down games 🤷🏻‍♂️ It’s like you come in expecting we probably won’t win but then you see how we lose and it is so much more aggravating because we had no business losing it.

So we’re a young team learning a new system and trying to figure it out as we go? Still not surprised by any of this. I acknowledged that it sucked but still don’t know how/why that’s shocking. We had a team, at least offensively, that was built around a philosophy of a coach who apparently thought it was 1937. They now have to play for a coach who plays in the current century and I’m not at a loss about why they aren’t exactly excelling, especially early.

But AA traded for him so he must be a really good bullpen arm like Martin,Greene, Tomlin, that guy from Baltimore last year, etc, etc.

I actually agree with you for the most part. It was more the overthrows and penalties that I’m referring too. That was why it was shocking. Now a lot of that is on Milton, and a coach can’t throw it for him. However, you could argue that with that many penalties, that may be a coaching issue that needs to clean up. I think we don’t have the personnel for this system like you said and you’re100% correct. I think we will have no shot against Bama, UGA, FL, and have a hard time with UK. But today’s loss was surprising because the way we shot ourselves in the foot, not that we were outmatched or didn’t have the ability.

Penalties thing I can definitely agree with but everything else was sort of expected for me. Not in this game specifically but over the course of this year in general.

This is the only place I can post during games anymore tbh. Nice to have somewhere to vent a little bit without all the weeping and gnashing of teeth.
