Thought it would be interesting to see how transfer Vols are doing around the country since there has been a lot of back and forth on how much talent we lost and the poor development by the previous staff. I left off some guys that went to smaller schools because I don’t want to look up those schools, and I included Big Kat because I was already looking up UCF’s stats. It is difficult to know what OL did, because they don’t typically show up on a stat sheet.

Week 1:

Q. Crouch - Mich St. - 7 tackles, 1 sack, 1 TFL
T. Chandler - UNC - 10 carries for 66 yds, 1 rec for 9 yds
B. Johnson - UCF - 5 rec for 47 yds, 1 TD
B.K. Bryant - UCF - 3 tackles, 0.5 TFL, 2 qb hurries
J. Guarantano - WSU - 8/13 for 56 yds, 4 carries for 19 yds, sacked for safety - injured
H. To’o To’o - Alabama - 7 tackles - injured
E. Gray - OU - 9 carries for 27 yds, 1 rec for (-6) yds - injured?
W. Morris - OU - played - no stats
K. Lawrence - OU - 2 tackles
JT Shrout - Colorado - No stats - out for season with injury
D. Johnson - Miami - 1 tackle
J. Johnson - A&M - no stats
J Doyle - Memphis - 5/5 fgs, 3/3 xp. Mem never punted.
B. Cimaglia - GT - 0/3 fgs, 3/3 xp.
G. Emerson - Memphis - no stats
D. Middleton - WVU - no stats

I hope they continue to suck at football but do well in the classroom and graduate and have great careers!

Thank you for posting, BlinghamptonVol. Even if they're only *VFAWs, I think most Vol fans truly want them to succeed in life. There's no need to burn bridges (beyond removing from our roster any players who got paid to play). And hating on players can only hurt Tennessee in recruiting. Kids want to be a part of a family when they leave home to take on the big, bad world.

Maybe if people keep adding and updating, this thread might earn a pin for the season.

UPDATES:
Guarantano - I remember reading he came out with a leg injury, and never returned.
Shrout - I read that he got injured in practice last week.

Looks like Crouch is our Defensive VFAW for the Week, and Doyle is the Offensive VFAW for the Week.
Poor Cimaglia's stats look like he picked the right team to become a ramblin' wreck.

I don't wish the worst for H Toto, but I just hope he doesn't help bammer anymore. I wish JG the best. He gave his all but just wasn't good enough on a bad team. To hell with the rest.

I read the writeup after the game for Washington State - my takeaway was that Guarantano played most of the first half - until the 4 minute mark and didn't really do much or move the team - that was his stat line listed above - but he was sacked for a safety in the endzone - was dancing around in the endzone, sacked and was injured. So he basically played the first half - let them to one field goal but gave up 2 points on the safety. Sounded a lot like same old story that we saw and they said something about the backup playing better and moving the team, etc. They lost the game on a late score - do not know the extent of his injury, but certainly sounded like more struggles on the West Coast.

The team was bad partially because the starting qb was bad - won't beat that dead horse - but he was not the greatest.

And Guarantano averaged 7 yds a completion before his safety/sack/injury so all the under stuff and semi - handoffs that he completed here - it looks like.

Didn't we also have a guy transfer out to go play for, I think, Jackson State, coached by Mr. Deon - Neon?

Let’s just be honest and call this thread what it is…..
Rename it to the Schadenfreude thread
We all know why we are here….
