100%. People thinking these are all "business deals" are cute. @Glitch makes a really good point too about the benefits for the bagmen.

Looks really good. But at least we have Milton.
Sure, and I think it’s possible Milton gels more and gets more comfortable as the season wears on. We could lose to Pitt and still wind up beating, say, Kentucky.Genuinely curious... Did he switch teams this year, come into a polar opposite offensive system, and only have the summer and fall camp to learn the offense and build chemistry with the WRs, RBs, and OL? Not saying Milton will be great, just saying the situations are entirely different.
That is exactly what is happening, but it is grossly inflated. It is going to turn into an all-out arms race free for all quickly.I could be wrong, but I don't think these NIL deals are all about financial ROI. A certain percentage, maybe a high percentage, are about paying recruits to sign with a program. Sure some will be busts, some will transfer, but like they (used to) say, "If you ain't cheatin', you ain't tryin' ". With NIL, you don't even have to cheat, but there definitely seems to be some price inflation for buying players.
And yet he’s had more success the past decade than Tennessee has had in 20 years and still a top 10/15 coachNo, because he has no clock management. He keeps a lousy qb in play after play, year after year. He calls the same crap plays. He calls a timeout to put 7 seconds back on the board when the other team has the ball.
