I like Milton yeah he missed a couple of overthrows that would of been TD's, but he also had a couple of drops by his WR's. Like Heupel said it's year 1, game 1. Not expecting a lot out of this season.
Joe Milton is not the answer. He will lose UT more games than he wins this year. I’m not sure Bailey is the answer either.
So bad for a power five school. Just disappointing.
You are right about this. If I heard Brent Hubbs say it once, I heard him say "Dayne Davis is the swing lineman who will be the first one in if someone gets hurt on the O-line" 50 times after Calbert got hurt. One example of how much the media does not know: Did anyone hear Ollie Lane's name this offseason? Anyone? And yet he was first OL in.

Yeah I mean if a time traveler told us this morning that we'd have 470yds of offense and win 38-6 I think we would all be very pleased. It's just that a pass wasn't completed for essentially 3 straight quarters of play.We ran it 64 times and had 470 yards of offense. I’m sure that won’t be our game plan every week. Do you all think our route tree consists of 2 out patterns and 2 go routes? We treated it like a scrimmage. They came out focused and put up 2 quick tds. Got lazy and had to refocus. 300 plus yards in the second half. Yes it’s BG but I imagine they will be ready to go vs Pitt. Lots of guys got some good pt tonight. Good film to look through
We can't really afford injuries on the line, but Cooper is probably our least talented starter. I have no idea how important he was for getting everyone in the right protection.Don’t see many people talking about it and it has huge implications. We are in big trouble if he is out for an extended period.
Mitchell looked fine to me. There were multiple times Banks seemed completely lost. But seemed to tighten up later on.I had to work tonight, so only listened to some of the game on the radio.. Sounds like our running backs did well, Milton pretty much only rifles his passes, Hyatt had a bad game, etc.. Also hearing that Juan Mitchell did not look good..? I don't know, first game, hopefully lots of improvement between now and our second game next weekend with Pittsburgh. Bottom line, we did win the game, so onward and forward. Go Vols!
