You could look at it either way. “Protect themselves” could mean the way they eat, exercise, if they take vitamins, if they ingest toxins such as cigarettes, if they stay holed up in the house and get no natural sunlight. The list goes on.When does it begin to become less about those taking appropriate precautions and more about those that refuse to protect themselves?
So the corollary is that if you do all those things mentioned, you should be adequately protected from the virus? If that's the case then let's end the masks. My question is when do we end masks? At what point do we say, enough of the precautions, get on with life. You could look at it either way. “Protect themselves” could mean the way they eat, exercise, if they take vitamins, if they ingest toxins such as cigarettes, if they stay holed up in the house and get no natural sunlight. Masks hardly work unless you use a n95. We should have already said enough of the precautions. People need to take responsibility for themselves and their family. If the virus terrifies you, stay home, keep your kids home, etc. There’s plenty of avenues for people to do that and still get groceries and other necessities. The virus has been so politicized, it’s no longer about science and more about fear, control and money. I agree and my comments were more to address the heartfelt pleas if Kisses for those of us vaccinated to protect those who aren't. For a period of time, that is acceptable. It should have already ended. The problem with this “vaccine” is it can still be transmitted so variants come around to try to diminish the “vaccine”. So it probably never ends until the people (us as a whole) stand together and quit letting corruption get in the way. The government only tries to divide us. When they divide us, they gain more control. If we would all come together and get along, things would change. Instead it’s the exact oppositeI agree and my comments were more to address the heartfelt pleas if Kisses for those of us vaccinated to protect those who aren't. You have a much greater chance of contracting it and when you do, even if you are a symptomatic, you are mutating it creating another strain that may or may not be more contagious than what you have/had. So yeah, you do you. Here you go guys. I have a .02% chance of dying from this virus. I should definitely take the vaccine and increase my odds!

And.... those with the vaccine still get, mutate, and transmit the virus so getting the vaccine would literally do nothing for me except perhaps lessen my symptoms which wouldn't be much anyway. Thanks thoYou have a much greater chance of contracting it and when you do, even if you are a symptomatic, you are mutating it creating another strain that may or may not be more contagious than what you have/had. So, you wrote a dissertation and when questioned you just take your ball and go home? You belong in the PF.
Not, it's really not rhetorical. I asked you as a response to your post, how long do we "look out for others" by vaccinating and masking when they won't do for themselves? I am sorry about your friend, I have lost two acquaintances at work recently and we are about to lose another one. None of them were vaxed.I am not an expert on virology nor public health, so I can't answer your question- albeit, it looks rhetorical. Personally, it was when my buddy who I have known since high school died at 30 year old from COVID.
