No Dobbs tonight

Haskins was 3rd qb in, not a good sign

Wish he could get a good chance to shine
I'm afraid he will be a final roster casualty in Pittsburgh. On the bright side, he has earned over $3M already. He should not have a problem picking up in new environs as a backup. The situation in Dallas is interesting. He will always be a huge asset to any QB room. Chase Daniel has earned over $30M as a backup. Dobbs has a wonderful professional future outside of football any time he wants it. I'm very happy for him either way.

Great points. After taxes, he’s cleared maybe 1.8 million or so. So unless he went full bore Travis Henry with his spending, he is probably a millionaire in his mid 20s with the ability to make six figures per year at the aerospace company of his choice. That’s assuming his NFL career might be over, which is not a safe assumption.

Dallas would be a perfect spot for him. Similar skill set to Dak and good receiver options so the offense wouldn’t have to change much if he had to get thrown in.

Steelers should cut Rudolph. Guy has proven he cannot play in the league. Go all in on developing Haskins since Ben probably only has another year or two. Dobbs at least brings his legs to the table and is a better match as Haskins backup.

I’m in some kind of mood today. Love Dobbs but he was never a major threat with his arm, if so he would have beaten vandy and South Carolina his senior year.

Hasn't proven himself enough to garner PT. Good college QB and loved by Vol fans. Doesn't translate necessarily to the NFL
Accuracy has always been his Achilles heel, but he is a gamer . Always be glad he was a Vol instead of an Arizona St Sun Devil . Hard to believe he was headed West....So he has already proved a lot of pundits wrong.

This would be his 5th year. He's had plenty of chances to "shine". Coaches that watch him daily determine he's not starting material. They don't just let QBs start for the hell of it or to be a charity case. And every other team in the NFL has access to his footage and to my knowledge nobody else is falling over themselves to get him, which they could easily do.

Is that more then a Rocket Scientist makes?
Much much more .. even the best scientists with 30 years of experience cap out at 250k-300k !!
Dobbs with bachelors would start at 75-85k (if not a football player) but with his football background they might tack on some ‘leadership’ title and give him 150k best case !!

Headed west only due to Aerospace Engineering program...Then Butch sold him on UT's AE program...
