covid viewpoints are like noses ...everybody's got their own personal one and no two are the same. (My noses is better than your nose ... sorry! - CDC :eek:)

In a more serious vein, I have received my shot. I am older, mid 60s. I am trying to maintain respect for differing points of view: prophylaxis approach with medical cocktails, reservations and refusals, and of course shot(s). We have had multiple times that we have been required to be tested due to exposure to those who have tested positive and they were around us. We are still covid negative at this time and going to church some online and some in person (smaller group and social distancing).

It appears to be a truism that you can get the stats to support you, if you look for the right set of data and stats.
However, my personal trust level with the CDC, the government, and politicians is at an all-time low and still falling. Paint me as an untrusting skeptic.

Im certain your feelings about others not being vaccinated stem solely from your deep empathy for medical professionals.

If the medical professionals are vaccinated why do you worry so about them?

If the vaccination doesn't work, why do you want others to take it?

PS i am vaccinated although not entirely due to my desire to take it. I paid $6k to go on a cruise and it was required or else i had to pay more and do.less. Otherwise i would have preferred natual immunity as it is significantly better than synthetically produced immunity.

And yes...my over 80 year old uncle died from it. A guy i coached football with died from it. Close family members were hospitalized with it.
Everyone i know who had complications fron Covid had health issues or were older. If you really wanna be safe from the virus get healthy. If you're 60plus then you probably wanna think about getting vaccinated.

The yellow and gray that you can barely even see are 0-4 and 5-17 year olds respectively.

Masks do help. Common sense they prevent the spread of respiratory droplets (study after study) I’ve been in 6 different hospitals this week around Knoxville in COVID units. Most ICUs are at the max. Hospitals have setup COVID units outside the ICUs for folks with less severe cases. Was in a 60 bed hospital today, 30 patients in beds were COVID.

Saying you went to an event with no mask and did not catch it is like saying I drove 95mph the other day and didn’t have a wreck so I no longer will wear a seat belt.

Ain’t no such thing as natural immunity from this. Sure you get some natural immunity if you have it for just a while that fades, but bottom line is you will reduce risk of severe COVID if you are vaccinated (this 97% of hospitalizations are with the unvaccinated crowd). Vaccine is way superior than trying to rely on natural immunity.

that is my understanding as well. But if this COVID continues to run like it is, I think they should setup some sort of testing. Players not at risk as much as all the staff around them all the time. JMO

I think too many people have watched too many episodes of X-Files. Does the government lie to the American public sometimes? Absolutely. However that doesn't mean they lie about EVERYTHING all the time. I can't help but get the feeling that the anti-vaxers are saying this, simply because the statistics are in direct contrast to their beliefs and it's just easier to shout "liar" than to admit you might have made the wrong choice.

I got the vaccination because my wife and 6 y/o tag teamed me to do so. I trust nothing about our Political hacks. But I do know my wife says its real and works with it every day.I believe nothing these lying fraudulent bastards say. They are all full of **** and Faucci is a moron. That said I respect people around me and their opinions on what they want to believe about covid. All that said my rant is over. I will also take a face covering to Neyland.

Make up your mind. I said two days ago that vaccines didn't stop infection but lessened effects. I was told that's misinformation. Now that I post the data of cases rising in Iceland, I'm told that I was right in the first place, cases are rising but symptoms are not bad! Imagine that.

Which is it guys? Make up your mind.

Yes but the tweets you are posting are implying that the vaccine is pointless, as seems to be your stance on the subject altogether. Iceland is having a surge of mild cases but their hospitals are not filling up like Alabama.
