I bet most of the posters in here never saw Jerry Rice playI mean Calvin only played 9 seasons as well...but his career stats are laughable compared to Rice. You can HALF Rice's career down the middle and have 2 of Calvin Johnson's career numbers...that's flipping insane. I'm just happy I was able to watch Rice in his prime for a few years, and to me the closest WR to being that dominate has been Moss. Calvin was special though, but he was also benefiting from volume, dude only had 2 seasons with less than 137 targets.
And it's not like Rice was deadweight and just trying to pad stats (like Emmitt Smith in his last few seasons). Only twice did Rice not have 800 yards receiving and one of those he only caught 7 balls cause he was hurt, the other came in his last season at 42 when he played for 2 different teams. And even then had he gotten more targets he probably could have hit 800 receiving yards.
I know people have different takes on finances. But IMO you should look at your own finances like a business. Businesses fight for the right to over lever themselves. More leverage equals more risk but also more profit. If you are paying down loans that are at or lower than expected inflation you are costing yourself money. You should lever and lever again as long as the rates are low. I’m not saying lever for a jet ski. But for damn sure wouldn’t put money down on a house note in the 2s. I’d put all that in the market and make multiples instead of paying down money that is so cheap. Jmo
He asked what the pros and cons were to leasing vs buying.@nicksjuzunk why is everyone giving you all this crazy vehicle advice lol….
All you said was your car is totaled and you need a new one…. Then boom all the car experts come out….
Tell you what next time I need a car I’m hitting up Vol Nation to get a discount somewhere![]()

Whether leased or just used, I agree that 2-4 year mark is the sweet spot. We recently got a 2018 with 11k miles and comes with 10 yr warranty (Kia). Was about 8k off original price. $8k off after 2.5 years and 11k miles seemed like a hell of a deal. Also priced 2k below market...maybe Carmax just assumes you'll need their financing and make it up that way...joke's on them!I love buying used vehicles that other people have leased. I pay half price for a vehicle and put 3/4 of the total miles on it.
Hyatt on that slot fade that they threw a lot in the video someone posted earlier today. He's gonna eat, he roasted Bama DB's a fee times with that last year.Oh no….. does that mean I’m losing e-cred? Not much to say right now….. only things I have stated that people may or may not have known…
*HB got significantly less reps the first day…. Not the order they went in but overall reps
* JM was head and shoulders above the rest on day 2
* Bailey and Hooker were the best day 3
* not sure if I mentioned this or not but it’s nothing most don’t know….. J Callaway looks like a Beast and J Hyatt started slow but has really come on
Don’t know much about the rest of the position groups right now….. probably won’t know anything great until they scrimmage or start narrowing down back ups and starters.
My one and only experience with leasing didn't end well for me. I leased a Jeep Grand Cherokee for my son when he was a senior in high school. I thought he would attend a college close to where we lived---but no----he chose one all the way across the countryThink of leasing as renting. There is a lease insurance, lease for a couple of years and then get another new vehicle. I work in the fed govt. and I know a few guys that lease because they are never in a place longer then 2-3 years. Those guys love to lease vehicles. I have never personally leased, only bought.
I always kinda rode with "lease for business, own for personal."My one and only experience with leasing didn't end well for me. I leased a Jeep Grand Cherokee for my son when he was a senior in high school. I thought he would attend a college close to where we lived---but no----he chose one all the way across the country. When the lease was up, if I turned the car in the milage penalty was $14K or I could buy the car for $19K. That $19K check was the hardest check I've ever written
. No more leases for me in my life time
