Welp, if ya get get to the point...or just down south again, our 2002 Avalon is just sitting around collecting dust sitting by some pizzeria construction. Planning to give it away, just been busy. Runs like a tank. 140k miles, probably good for another 140k. She's no Charger/Bamamobile though...
How much you want for it?

Leasing a car isn’t a good financial decision. That’s the story. I’m not defending Dave Ramsey, I have no need for his services so I don’t follow him.
Usually yes. But one has to calculate out each potential deal. There are some bargains to be had out there with leases and buyout options. But I suspect they are far and few between. Default dealer leases are usually egregiously poor from a financial analysis perspective, I'd agree.

We don't KNOW what's better or not, we just HOPE it is..

And like I say..Hope in one hand and crap in the other, and see which gets full faster.

I do really HOPE things are better, but I don't KNOW they are...we will find out. My guess is that some things will go good and others will not, therefore I think 5-6 wins with the team looking better coached, being tougher, more competitive and playing till the end of games instead of the horse💩 quitting we have endured from most of the teams we have had the last ten-fifteen years is going to be a good showing.

I hope they blow my expectations away...but I sure as heck ain't expecting it.
True we don't know how it is all going to go. Still...
I would take this offensive scheme over Pruitt's or Butch's anyday.

I would take these coaches over theirs. Although JP first defensive coaches were good.

It's been reported that the players are saying the atmosphere and chemistry are already better.

It's been reported the players already know what they are supposed to do.

And surely one of the QBs can perform better than JG.

So, there is reason to have optimism that if things come together for the team there could be 7-8 wins. If things do not there could be 5-6. He gave reasons why he is optimistic. You gave the reason for your pessimism. I usually just say 5-8 depending on if things go our way or if they don't.

Pruitt had no offense, he played take away. Unfortunately for us it usually involved JG giving away to another team, our DB's werent allowed to take part

You also need to look at the teams each had, and who they had throwing to them. I love Jerry Rice, even tho I grew up a Cowboys fan, but he benefitted from having Joe Montana and Steve Young throwing to him.
You can turn that around, too and say that they benefited from having him catch it for them. He got open a whole lot.

How much you want for it? My youngest just turned 16 and needs a reliable car for back and forth to school and cross country practice.

Should be said that Calvin Johnson is the most physically gifted WR to ever play...and few will disagree.

6'5" 240lbs and runs 4.3s with a 45" vertical and the ability to catch anything and everything. Not to mention extremely intelligent, had a 41 in the Wonderlic

But there isn't any data to back up anyone except Rice is the king of WRs. Over 5400 yards more receiving than 2nd place, over 100 more receptions, 41 more TDs than 2nd place (Moss). Rice just had a different level to him, he's the closest to a MJ the NFL has ever seen imo.
Calvin could still be playing today

That's what's so sad. Potentially two of the greatest players ever, and both retired early because of playing in Detroit. It kind of makes me feel like Detroit should be stripped of their franchise. When you're so bad you forced two such players into early retirement.....I feel like they robbed NFL fans to be honest.
I finally gave up my Detroit fandom last year. Made me feel really bad, but I’ve seen enough as a fan for the last 25 years

I love rice but not sure I can follow you there. I don’t think he is even the best at his position. Let alone transcendent for what he does

The most clearly better football player at his position than anyone else imo is Deon sanders. They still talk about shutdown corners but he is really the only one that truly was

I think in his time Irvin was just as good as Rice and if I keep thinking I’d find several other than CJ that are right there

No one is right there with Deon imo
I don’t think that is true…... most of that is just legend…..Stats say that he is comparable to several other “shut down corners”….. he was a good cover corner who had elite recovery speed….. he became prime time when he had the ball in his hands…… you all severely underrate Jerry rice…… he won the head to head match ups going against Sanders.

I'm not good at pre-season predictions, but last year's disjointed Tennessee team would've probably won 6 games against your 2021 schedule. Vandy's still hapless, South Carolina looks maybe worse, not sure about Missouri but I doubt they'll be significantly better. If your team plays tougher, more competitive attitude, well coached and doesn't quit on games, 6 wins looks like the floor. Beyond that it depends on how fast the team can get up to speed under a new system.

@nicksjuzunk, my fellow crime victim… there is some chucklenuts out there with my wife’s Fawn diaper bag and exactly zero valuables in it. I hope the the guy julienned his arm getting it out. 😡 Brentwood, of all places.

So if I were you I would obviously report it. If the idiot pawns the bag local PD will catch them easily.

He also caught 92 passes for 1,200yds at age 40 from rich Gannon…..I don’t think it’s the qb.
