Crazy thing was that coming into this week, he was last in MLB in OPS in late and close ABs. I think hitting around complete slop all year in the bottom half of the order really impacted him.Dansby Swanson is 3rd in HRs among MLB SS. He is 3rd in OPS among NL SS. He is going to sign one year contracts for the league minimum for the rest of his career (if he’s lucky enough to have one) tho.![]()
Oh I think it was a complete coincidence unless we start seeing him out there in the 6th or 7th again lol. I just think banging on Snit gets a little too en vogue at times; especially after the pen goes 5 innings and only gives up 1 run.I’m willing to give it a pass because of who he faced but I think it’s something to mention. I highly doubt the lineup spot is why Snit sent him out there. He lines his guys up by inning.
Haha to his credit, I don’t think he plans on using Shane Greene ever againOh I think it was a complete coincidence unless we start seeing him out there in the 6th or 7th again lol. Before the deadline, that’s probably Josh Tomlin or Shane Greene out there.
I’m not sure how “late and close” is defined but his “high leverage” splits on fangraphs are great.Crazy thing was that coming into this week, he was last in MLB in OPS in late and close ABs. I think hitting around complete slop all year in the bottom half of the order really impacted him.
I’d never seen it before but it was ABs from the 7th inning on in one run games.I’m not sure how “late and close” is defined but his “high leverage” splits on fangraphs are great.
He’s also rocking a 1.000+ OPS over the last month and probably the second best player on the team since May 1. Shame the April was so bad.
