The best part of our Kanab stay was that our daughter, son-in-law, and 4 of our grandkids came out from SC while we were there. We had a great time in spite of triple-digit temps just about every day.

We visited a few places we thought the kids would enjoy more, although they did awesome on the adult hikes.

The girl in the purple shirt in the 3rd picture is Maia, our miracle girl, and I’ve got to brag on her a bit. They adopted her from an orphanage in Bulgaria. Although she was 3 or 4, she was developmentally like a baby because of malnutrition. She couldn’t walk, crawl, or move much at all. Doctors said she would never be able to walk.

Not only can she now walk, she did all of the hiking with us. Sometimes miles at a time, up and down mountains.

I think that last pic caused @InVOLuntary to have flashbacks of his colonoscopy....

You ever want any help planning just let me know. I love to see people have a good time exploring the natural sites. I am not much help with cities though, but other guys here are awesome with that kind of info.

62 days until the next trip of a lifetime...can't wait...🤗
Out of all the places you’ve experienced, where would settle down its you decided to?

I’m not one to share personal family things, or ask for anything, but want to ask y’all for prayers for my daughter, her husband, and my new grandson! He was born last Friday, had to be taken at 33 weeks, but was still 7.2lbs.
On Saturday, he was air lifted to Morgantown, due to collapsed lungs. My daughter developed diabetes with her first child, weird bc she’s very fit and 24, but this time around it affected the baby’s sugar levels.
He’s been on oxygen, feeding tube, and umbilical IV this week.
He’s now off everything, eating and breathing on his own, and his sugar levels have stabilized. They may get to come home this weekend, but most likely early next week.
She’s a trooper! 24 hours after a c section, had to jump in a car with her husband and drive 3 hours to be with him and stay in a hotel!! That’s a sore subject!!
But nonetheless, he’s doing better, and I can’t wait to meet him! Having two boys of my own, this little dude will have plenty of UT gear for the rest of his life!!
Keep them in your prayers as they try to get home and on the mend!! Thanks y’all!!🙏🙏

Prayers to you and your family!

A few observations about the clubs.

1) West Virginia is much higher than I would have thought.
2) UCLA is way down the list behind Vandy.
3) Florida State is historically irrelevant.

FSU was a women's school until the late 1940s and didn't play men's football until the 1950s.

They've rocketed up this list pretty fast, honestly.

Dear Lord please protect this child. In your name we pray!

what a beautiful (handsome) little boy! I cannot wait for you to get to meet him either.

Nebraska is the one that doesn't belong anymore on the top.

Great tradition, but absolutely no way they can compete at a high-level anymore in modern college football.

Tennessee has its struggles, but at least our state produces decent talent and we have close proximity to major recruiting hotbeds. The case for a resurgent Tennessee is much, much stronger than the case for a resurgent Nebraska...

Ahh man, he's a handsome little feller..

Prayers sent... 🙏

Kanab has so much to do around it that it’s impossible to share it all. We saw:

-the north rim of the Grand Canyon where we did a couple of nice hikes and saw this amazing canyon from the other side. This was also the first place we saw bison. A nice surprise.

-Zion NP didn’t live up to the hype, probably because of crowds, but we did an awesome like there and saw these Bighorns at its end

-Horseshoe Bend, but I’ve already posted pix from there since it’s in AZ.

-Bryce Canyon NP was the first park we visited that we said we’ve got come back to again in the future. Just when we thought we’ve seen all the cool rock formations we could, we visit this place. And awesome hikes, including the best one I’ve done, the Navajo Loop. Wow 😳

Probably not constitutional at all, but I wish the NIL had a cap to even the playing field. For example, you can earn up to $75,000 annually on it. That’s more than enough for a single college athlete on scholarship to be able to enjoy life on and start some savings.

Never happen though
I'm fine with the making a lot of money but they need to pull their own weight and pay for everything they would normally get in scholarship

Sets a dangerous precedent for the government to cap your income. Was one thing when the NCAA made these decisions since it couldn’t be transferred to the nation as a whole, but the government shouldn’t have the ability to do that.
