If you find yourself getting mad about anything that happens to you today… think of a friend of mine who was sitting on the beach yesterday under a tent with his son walking toward him and watched him get struck by lightning out of nowhere and then had to perform CPR twice. Kid is in a burn unit on a ventilator.

Looks like the question has moved from “Will he survive?” to “What did it do to his heart and kidneys?”, so that’s a good thing. Kid is in Miami still on a vent and they’re keeping his body cool to help him recover while they access the damage.

Crazy thing is that he was struck only about 10 feet from his Dad who was just required to take a CPR class so he could be a volunteer coach. He literally went to the ground then looked around and saw smoke coming off his kid. He was doing chest compressions within 30 seconds.
