BREAKING NEWS - Migrant Arrests at the Southern Border Rise for the SIXTH month in a row: Guards caught 188,000 Crossing in June in Yet Another Record as Biden's Crisis Continues To Worsen

More than one million migrants have now been apprehended at the southern border this year fiscal year, new figures show.

Customs and Border Protection revealed that 188,829 migrants were stopped at the southwest border in June, the sixth monthly increases since the start of 2021.

These statistics just account for the apprehensions, and doesn't include the migrants who cross undetected.

It is still not immediately clear where exactly these asylum seekers and illegal crossers are being sent after they are transferred out of federal immigration agencies' custody.

One Chattanooga a month..totally unacceptable and unsustainable. This is purposeful and in another 12 months we will hear the clamor for a pathway to citizenship

I saw that info. That’s amazing as hell in the current environment. Employers can’t higher enough people and are paying signing bonuses in industries never heard of before… and real wages still decline. Wow that is some special incompetence right there.

A customer in Atlanta today said one McDonalds location is paying $100 just for an interview.

I wonder how welfare impacts those calculations?

I've started to build a new home, my contractor says that spot market price is a mirage. Go to Home Depot, a stud still cost more than $6

One is the virtual market, and one is the real market. One is what investors think, and the other what users pay. Maybe in the long term they converge. One thing for sure is that the people betting on the markets without ever being part of the real supply chain are screwing you over on what goes into your new house.

Isn't the govt regulating showerhead flow the idiotic rule?

So glad they're tackling the real issues
Nope.

Through 2020, the official said these standards had saved consumers $111.1 billion dollars in energy and water bills, 4.8 quads of energy and 4.3 trillion gallons of water.
Those water savings equated to 107.5 billion baths of water with a 40-gallon average bath, the official said, which is equivalent to 63% of the water in Lake Champlain.

So the govt needs to decide for people how much they get? Sounds like freedom

if they were more desirable the market would figure it out

Sold a home a few years ago that had wonderful water pressure. To comply with regs had to have the pressure regulator changed out to meet requirements. Cannot remember the exact details why it could not of been adjusted in place.

1. So over the life time of the regulation it saved 111.1 billion dollars? The Obama adaptation to the rule from the 90s was in 2013 so it works about to 40 per year savings for each person in the country.
2. The Trump modification wasn't to the flow rate; it was to the flow rate per outlet on a fixture (so if you have 2 shower heads each could flow at the approved rate vs a total for all heads under Obama).

I'd like to see the source of the "savings" claim - forgive me if an "official" spouts (no pun) some statistics as gospel.

So no one can change a 30yo rule? That's ridiculous. If there was a demand the market would provide. Wanting the govt to tell you what is best is lazy and ignorant

people complained like hell when it was first introduced.

it's the same with water usage rules on dishwashers - mine has a setting that is nearly 4 hours. A "quick" cycle is nearly 2 hours.

It has been in place for around 30 years before Trump ditched it. I dont recall seeing anyone complain about it.

They didn’t complain because people only see low flow showerheads and toilets in certain states . Do you have low flow shower heads and toilets in your home ? Yeah neither do I . Lol

So you believe we aren't smart enough to turn down the flow - that the government has to do that for us? Have you noticed that many energy saving appliances and fixtures don't work that well? An extra flush to do the job, longer under the shower to rinse out the shampoo or soap, an extra rinse because the washer doesn't get the soap out with less water ...?

They are junk nobody wants to stand under a trickle of water in the shower or hope your 💩 goes down after the 2nd or third flush . 😂

I've noticed the "normal cycle" - the one they probably use to put the energy saver certificate on a dishwasher or washer doesn't work that well. You have to use one of the other cycles that uses more power and water to get a good outcome.
