President Joe Biden - Kamala Harris Administration

My own overall sense of things is that:

1) Biden at times seems pretty physically weak and infirm. At other times in pretty good shape considering.

2) He makes a lot of misstatements, but he has always had a bit of a stutter/disjointed style. So far as POTUS none have really bothered me that much.

3) Notwithstanding questions about his stamina and overall health, it is clear that he has surrounded himself with people that know how government works, get things done with minimal goofery, and aren't there to just provoke and antagonize, to disrupt for the sake of disrupting.

4) Harris is smart but has so far had trouble establishing her own, steady, identity. I suppose that is a problem a lot of VPs have. How to be relevant without appearing to overshadow the boss.

Doubt he runs again. Harris will be heir apparent but I am not remotely sold on her yet. Dumbest thing the GOP could do is nominate Trump to run against her. You have plenty of better alternatives.

on 2 and 3 - repeatedly referring to Georgia election laws as Jim Crow on steroids doesn't bother you and you don't consider that commentary that provokes and antagonizes?

Biden appears very weak and infirm. Had great trouble following complex issues and even more trouble articulating the details coherently.

I disagree about surrounding himself with good people, they have failed to limit his exposure which is a significant challenge but something that was evident as a priority during the campaign and slow to get ahead of issues.

Harris was put in a challenging situation, her appearing disengaged and not plugged into the realities of the single issue she was tasked to handle hurt her badly. Unless she's given a chance at redemption and knocks it out of the park I think this was her ceiling.

Agree on Trump.

In other news, water is wet.

I think the 32% of Democrats that don't believe he's calling the shots is far more telling.
This means that 68% of them are idiots. The guy can hardly make a complete sentence, has a creepy obsession with young girls and needs note cards while meeting with foreign dignitaries. But yet he's directing the government, initiating EO's and making policy decisions? I don't think so.

When all the dust settles and all the audit reports come out, I'm confident that we're going to discover he really wasn't voted in.

That's not something anybody on either political side will ever admit. That's simply admitting they can't or won't do a credible and honest job of running the country. That's the Great Oz time.

You get the impression that paying people not to work made a lot of them realize they really really prefer sitting at home - maybe dabbling in some under the table work. Imagine shutting down the squatters who don't have to make mortgage or rent payments and then stopping the "you don't have to work" payments. Our problem for years has been hidden - it's not at all the unemployment rate, rather it's the workforce non-participation rate. That's the one that counts, and all political administrations hide it.

A dollar injected into the economy is a dollar injected into the economy. Doesn't matter if that dollar is coming from government spending financed by debt or consumer spending financed by tax cuts. Fact is, a sh*t ton of money is being spent. That leads to economic growth, whether you like it or not. Her conclusion that Biden has nothing to do with the economic boom is laughable.

A dollar injected into the economy is more than a dollar removed from the economy. Dip a cup in a bucket, withdraw the water, slosh it around, drink some, let others drink some, and then see how much you actually return to the bucket. There's no free lunch - investment isn't free - it's simply a resource not used for another purpose.

Take it up with the economists who have nearly universally backed Biden's economic recovery plan.

13 Nobel Prize-winning economists back Biden

One day the world will realize very few economists were ever as smart as they though they were. The basic premise is not real science - it's pseudo science based on how economist believe people will react due to certain stimuli. The supply and demand curves are very crude and rudimentary attempts at feedback and control logic, but even those are projections and not really quantitative.

About all we agree on Biden on is he won’t run again. Hell he may not finish this term.

Take away:

Biden's recovery plan calls for massive government spending to create growth and get us out of the recession. A few economists have quibbled over the right amount. Can't find any who say nothing should be done by the feds.

Getting back to where we started (can government spending lead to economic growth), seems pretty clear that a broad swath of economists think it can.

Win for EL.

Of course, economists quibble over the right amount. Your Keynesians always come up with the same analysis when pump and dump fails ... we didn't spend enough. BTW the Keystone Pipeline decision could actually be considered Keynes in reverse.

Is anyone home at the White House? Majority of Americans say Biden not running country

This is bad. Very bad.

Is anyone home at the White House? According to a majority of Americans, the answer is a definite, "No."

Nearly 57% of Americans surveyed in a recent Convention of States Action/Trafalgar poll say that President Joe Biden isn't calling the shots in our nation's highest office. According to these Americans, other people in Washington are executing the duties of the president while Biden remains the public face of the executive branch.

“President Lincoln’s famous refrain that you can’t fool all of the people all of the time has never been more relevant and critical to the survival of our American Republic. The American people deserve honesty and transparency from the Biden Administration as to the true state of the President’s mental and physical health, and leaders in both parties in Congress need to follow through on this immediately, ” said Mark Meckler, President of Convention of States Action. “The continued failure to ask hard questions and demand real answers is a disgrace to the very foundation of our democracy.”

Use whatever daily affirmations you need love.

That’s clearly how you started the day out with a mirror I’m sure. It went horribly off track about the time you tripled down on that idiot Biden’s spending being both needed and value added. Then you got mauled for at least four hours straight 😂🤡
