Recruiting forum off topic thread (no politics, covid, or hot button issues)

I don't have anything that strong.

It's a real religious hate-a-thon in here. Make's me really appreciate the speciation of church and state.
Because this is how we get the Spanish Inquisition. Is that what y'all want? The Spanish Inquisition? Because nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition.

Also, hoping the aliens that are being seen around the planet are Christians.
Otherwise, they might as well go straight to Uranus.

*Saying something is wrong and or evil does not equal hate. Sooner everyone figures that out, the better off we will be

Also, it is amazing that the Christians in this thread are attacked with accusations of hate, but those literally mocking our faith, saying that we pray to an imaginary being for example, get a pass. Gee I wonder why that is 🤔
I pray all the time and meditate immediately afterwards to listen.

I didn't mock anyone. All I see is other Christians denigrating and judging others based on their beliefs (gender identity is a belief), political affiliation (lunacy of the left) and so on.

I guess I expect more compassion and forgiving from Christians. My bad on that one, obviously.

Denigrating and name-calling are hateful activities.

You can pronounce and be a stand for what you believe without tearing down others for their beliefs, whatever they may be.

There is a reason that our founding fathers separated church and state. And this thread is a good example of the religious zealotry that threatens the religious freedom of everyone.

Show me where the Founding Fathers performed this “separation of Church and state”.

It’s not in the US constitution, but it was in the constitution of the USSR.

I didn't say you had mocked anyone, although the alien comment above might apply. Others in this thread had openly mocked the Christians posting in this forum. and yet you skip over them and accuse the Christians who rightfully refer to things as being wrong as being hateful. Such a thought is absurd but is not surprising.

No one is denigrating others for their beliefs, we are rightfully saying that trans is sinful and is not normative behavior, and that it is wrong of the left to push that onto us and force us to live by lies. That is not hate or denigration. For your statement on judgment, we've already had that discussion, and I along with others show how wrong the understanding of judgment in the way that you are using it really is. It is not hateful or a right application of Jesus' teaching in Matthew 7 to criticize Christians for calling sin a sin. See earlier discussion as I do not need to repeat it here.

Third, what is there to forgive? I cannot forgive anyone of anything that they have not personally done to me? What are you asking me to forgive? Finally, as for compassion, the most compassionate thing that I can do is to speak the truth. To lie is not compassion, it is the opposite, that is truly hateful. As I quoted earlier, "Love does not rejoice in wrongdoing but rejoices in the truth" (1 Cor. 13:6). You do not define compassion or love, God does and He has. Compassion is not ignoring sinful behavior and pretending as though it is good and okay.

Yeah none of this makes sense, nobody is name calling. Saying something is wrong or that a certain idea is lunacy, is not name calling. And your understanding of the separation of church and state is wrong. They wanted the separation of church and state so that the state could not control the church, not so that the church would have no influence in the state. Unfortunately, this has been abused so that Christian people are the ones removed from the market place of ideas so that anti-religious ideas are shoved down the throats of our students and there is no option for debate or rebuttal. The same people who crafted the document which says "We hold these Truths to be self-evident, that all Men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights," did not have in their minds prayer not being allowed in schools and the 10 commandments removed from government buildings, or a completely atheistic education at universities.

I already spent my time teaching the social sciences in high school. Go read a few books on it, including their personal journals and correspondence.

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof..."
Pretty clear. But that's just me reading. Obviously, it is up for interpretation like everything else. Maybe some of these clairvoyant prophets in here that are 100% sure of God's will and whatnot have it all figured out.

I already said that I have a higher standard of conduct for fellow Christians.
Also, I haven't seen anywhere in the Bible that refers to being transgender as a sin. What about hermaphrodite?
This is all you stating your interpretation as fact. Thats fine. Just don't begrudge others who have their own interpretation.
I am not asking you to forgive anyone. I am just questioning your capacity to condemn.
I must have missed the part during my 40+ years of going to church where they said that God is easily understood by the brain and heart of mortal men and women. I was always taught that God is omnipotent, compassionate, and so powerful and mighty that we can't possibly comprehend the extent of God's power and will.
But that's just me.

“Or prohibiting the free exercise thereof” just got firmly ignored this past year and a half as a side note....

And establishment of religion is not the same as separation of church and state in the way it’s interpreted today. Obviously establishment meant that the Dtate did not deem we are a Catholic state or Anglican state which they had of course just escaped from Europe. However, there is no denying looking at early Laws and Documents that Christianity was the Faith of the land and there was no separation of your beliefs when you walked into the public square. For instance, why would you take an Oath on the Bible before you testified? Why would a benediction and/or prayer be read before a Congress sat? These are small examples, but there are many more.

Today’s version of Seperation of Church and State as taught and administered is more akin to the Soviet/Bolshevik style which is a total exclusion of all religion for the secular State. We see how “tolerant” their States were...

Really amazing to witness this: "I'm glad their's separation of church and state so that the church can't tell people what to do. So Christians, sit down and shut up." Who is it that's being silenced?
Lol
The freedom of religion is dependent upon that separation.

You must have never read the writings of Paul.

It's not sit down and shut up. It's stay out of politics or let go of your tax exempt status.
