WTF. Am I mistaken, or are u saying a woman who wants to take testosterone and become man-ish and is still allowed to play for women is a good example of level competition?

I don't know that she's taking hormones, just having reconstructive surgery. No, my point is that transgender people (men or women) want to compete in women's sports because of the level of competition rather than how they identify.

Men taking hormones does not change the fact that they are men and were born physically superior to women. If transgender people don't want to compete in men's sports, they should create their own leagues and not infringe upon ours.

Have you known many? I’ve been around trans folks day to day for 20 years or more in the work place and have talked to them about the reasonings why. It’s not out of hate that I say what I say, it’s because there are deeper seeded issues not being addressed because of social pressures. And when it comes to the children side of this issue it is pure and simple negligence and abuse.

Until relatively recently it was classified as mental illness.

Compassion is great, but it certainly isn't obvious to me that feeding someone's delusions is doing them some sort of favor. It's silly, IMO, to act like widespread acceptance of something that isn't well defined linguistically, much less biologically, is totally fine and won't have any ramifications. We've seen plenty of those ramifications already, including genital mutilation of children.

It's anti-scientific to say transgenderism or gender dysphoria definitely isn't a mental illness just because it is going to hurt people's feelings. Definitions are what they are.
