The vaccine is safe, people. I find it very telling the people saying it isn't are the same people with the tin foil hats on saying "don't trust what the government, CDC, or MsM - only trust the right-wing news sources that tell me what I already believe." Lol.

Full disclosure on my thoughts. I won’t get the vaccine until we see proof on some long term trials and it’s effects. Again, I think Trump and his admin did a great job on getting rid of a lot of red tape to fast track the vaccine because it’s made my parents feel safer (both in their 70s and mom has one lung), but I’m just not gonna put anything in my body that I’m not totally sure about. Vaccines are tested over long periods of time before they’re put out into the general population, and I’m just in wait and see mode.

Also, I’m not sure who mentioned it but the Fauci emails that were released from the FOIA are a real eye opener. He had proof from many doctors and scientists who stated that hydroxychloroquine (not sure how you spell it) was an effective medication, and he just sat on it, and not only did he hide it from the people, but he denied it. Not to mention him funding gain of function and also hiding the fact that it leaked from the Wuhan Lab. He’s nothing but a tyrant (not surprising since he’s a democrat) and I was proud to see Rand Paul call him out on it.

My facts are based on Per reviewed article published in Medical and Scientific Journals. They are based on Laboratory and studies by trained Doctors and Scientist and review by a review board of the journal and republished to members of Universities and Medical school for review and comment. Then the Board determines if those data included in the publication are worth for publication. I have no idea from where you get your data, but I have the upmost confidence in the data published by the Journals. I also realize that the data you present are at odds with the data I have reviewed. I see no reason for us to continue this back and forth and propose we drop the subject and talk about football, basketball baseball and other sports. I agree, and that is why I wasn't concerned one iota about taking the Moderna. I read about where they were going with it, and how it worked way back last summer sometime.

Probably the easiest money I've made in the stock market. IN 2018 Moderna was the biggest biotech IPO ever, and I was concerned it was overpriced. Was able to buy at $16, but they did not have a single product. In late 2020 they had to get help from another company to distribute their covid vaccine . They had never distributed anything before.
All the smart people (scientists, not politicians) were saying mRNA is the real thing. We'll see it used in many products in the future.
Their stock closed at $234 today.

What bothers me on a personal level is no vaccine is 100% effective and I have vaccinated loved ones in the highly vulnerable categories and have had a 63 year old relative die of Covid. History and the scientific community tell us that 70-80% of the population have to develop immunity to a virus in order to prevent pandemic levels of spreading and the associated new variants that we’re starting to experience. The vaccines are statistically proven to be effective against the virus but many folks (myself included) wish for a longer track record to prove the vaccines don’t have side effects. I got vaccinated anyway because I felt it was my responsibility to my family and the community I live in to become part of the 70-80% to become part of the herd immunity. I FEEL that everyone except women of childbearing years who refuse the vaccines simply want everyone else to take whatever risks are there and they will selfishly sit back and be part of the 20-30%. JMO

Just wanted to drop in this thread to ask for some prayers for my cousin's little girl. She was born premature but has done really well and is now a little over a year old, but unfortunately she's on the way to Children's Healthcare in Atlanta via ambulance after contracting COVID and struggling with high fever for the last five days. Their other two kids have it and so do they, but the youngest is having the hardest time right now. Unfortunately they also had a birthday party over the weekend with other kids less than 24 hrs before their kids showed symptoms, so there are other little ones who have been exposed.

This pandemic isn't over yet folks. It's certainly easy to overlook it until it hits close to home in a hard way.

I taught pharmacology for years and could list many meds that went through full clinical trials and were approved by the FDA and later withdrawn....Seldane...Rezulin... Propulsid..Accutane..COX2s...Tagamet...Zantac..Darvocet...I cringe when I see claims of "vaccines are proven safe" all meds carry risks of side effects...we have yet to produce the "perfect key" of a med that only goes where we want it to...I had the J&J vaccine because it was more traditional I had almost zero side effects...the Shingrix vaccine however kicked my butt and I felt miserable for days but the advantages to me outweighed the risks of not taking them...its a personal choice and people should not be demonized for choosing not to get them..especially African Americans who as a high percentage remain unvaccinated.. It's not like the Tuskegee Experiment was ancient history

I got so sick of hearing "The science is settled!"......Is the science ever really settled??

We thought the science was settled on surgical masks combating viruses before COVID came along. We were told that standard masks had little, if any effect against viral infection. Then we were suddenly told by a bunch of bureaucrats that the some how magically worked! Even though they presented not real evidence of why they now suddenly worked. A Danish mask study that used actual people and not guesswork or a garbage laboratory simulation found that masks had little to no effect on transmission.....just like we were told before. Then, another, more recent study by the University of Louisville has said the same thing. Masks were not effective in slowing the spread of COVID. Seems as if many were just given a false sense of security.

We were told that the science was settled on 6 feet social distancing. A Massachusetts study found that 6 feet of distancing was no better than 3 feet.

We were lied to about the origins of the virus.

A WHO study, once again using live people, was done to see how well asymptomatic people spread the virus. Turns out they don't really spread the virus very well at all according to the study. The got blasted for it.....why? Their data was accurate, so why was their such an uproar over this study?

I could go on and on, but you get the point. I have a growing list that I have written down about things the so called experts were wrong on (It's turning out that's just about every major thing we were told) or things these same people lied to us about.

The CDC basically admits that masks (with the exception of N95) are useless. They state that masks do not protect against smoke molecules. How much bigger is a smoke molecule compared to a virus (.001 to.003 microns)? Don’t recall the exact amount but it’s orders of magnitude. 2+2=?

Well your talking to someone that had a relative die of nothing but COVID so I know it is a deadly virus to some folks - not sitting around here claiming everyone else is trying to trick me into something. The “propaganda” you reference to others is the medical / scientific community providing the most current information available to them. As the knowledge increased the “propaganda” was adjusted to reflect new discovery. Just to update, she was able to come home today but is still sick and not out of the woods. They were told that it was the Delta variant. Another cousin and her two young kids that were exposed are now sick. Early signs from what my family is currently experiencing is that Delta does spread easier and affects kids much more...so the medical community isn't lying about it. I just absolutely hate it for the kids that are going to get sick from this because their parents aren't taking any precautions at all.

See my previous post about the effectiveness of masks. On top of that, masks become detrimental to ones health after 4 hours of continuous use, and are particularly harmful to children.

The flu numbers went down because they were categorizing everything as Covid which has similar symptoms. Also, they lowered the cycle thresholds of the PCR tests back in January. Remember that? That's what really led to the reduced case numbers.

It appears you don’t think masks are of any help to prevent you from a virus? I understood the main purpose of wearing a mask is to keep an infected person from spreading their germs as prolifically to others.

So you think the flu had a normal cycle this winter but the powers in charge manipulated the numbers? Must be tough for you living each day in this type of world where nothing can ever be trusted. You do realize there’s a test for Covid, not the doctor guessing you’ve got it from the symptoms
