Derek Chauvin was wrong and deserves his punishment.

That said, George Floyd was accused of passing a counterfeit bill, which can be charged as a federal felony. That was the call the police responded to. Whether or not he was actually passing a counterfeit bill we may never know because all of that seemed to disappear with his death.

Personally, I don't think George Floyd should have been the hero of the BLM movement. Yes, Chauvin needed to be charged as what he did was wrong, but the case that truly deserved the attention was Breonna Taylor.
Until you learn more about the actual facts of Breanna Taylor. I agree she was possibly the most “innocent” of recent headlines but she was no saint either. She wasn’t sleeping like they wanted you to believe. She was standing right next to her BF when he took a shot at police as they entered from the hallway outside of her bedroom door. Iirc, she was his mule and played a major role in his drug running. Which is how they got the “no knock” warrant for her apartment to begin with. I’m not completely convinced who took the shot at the police because I find it odd that she got hit 7 times and he was only hit once in the leg. Seems like highly trained SWAT officers would take aim at the threat rather than who’s standing next to him.

It’s been a while since I took interest in learning what really happened so my details may be faded a bit

None of my reading on the case supports your assertion she was a mule, nor was it SWAT that served the no-knock warrant. It was 3 detectives, one of whom was shot. I don't recall the BF being hit, but you are correct that Breonna was in the hallway, behind her BF, and not in bed. Not sure why that matters since she was still in her own home. BTW, one of those three detectives was fired for firing recklessly during the confrontation. Breonna Taylor was innocent, and no-knock warrants should be illegal. They violate 4th Amendment protections IMO.

Innocent might be a stretch, a child riding in the back seat of a car hit by stray bullets is innocent, sleeping with a drug dealer that sleeps with a gun.,..not so sure

I’ll see if I can find the video I watched then. Like I said, my memory may not be spot on but she wasn’t completely “innocent” by any means. You gotta remember there are three sides to every story the media reports. When they portray her as a law abiding individual it makes some wonder why the warrant was on her apartment. I seem to remember 4 different houses (all in the same area) that the warrant was for. And hers was one of them.

I haven’t watched this one yet but I’m sure there’s gotta be some of what I told you?

How many VN posters sleep within reach of a gun? I do. Does that make my wife less deserving of not getting shot?

Was the guy in the apartment the suspected drug dealer? I thought the suspected drug dealer was an ex-boyfriend at a different location.

Lectures about learning "actual facts."

Proceeds to misspell the name.

Checks out.

Was her BF a drug dealer? He ex-BF, the person they were searching for and had already found, was a drug dealer, but I've not read that her BF at the time was a drug dealer.

I’m within reach of a gun right now.
I’ve got quick safes all over the house.

I’m not deserving of being shot either.
