Why would you want players NOT 100% invested in the program. A cultural change had to occur and with it personnel changes occur.
part of being a head coach is recruiting & selling program. who else's job is it? i'm not saying fahr him. But its certainly warrants mentioning as a topic of discussion. part of assuming that responsibility is recruiting currents players.

He’s a 4-2-5 DT. Would’ve been a 3-4 DE. Expect him to start…he’s plenty stalwart.
Who's going to play DE? Honestly, I'm a little confused as to where guys are going to be lined up. Young, Baron, Eason, and Mohan are listed as Edge rushers. Middleton, Solomon, Butler, Blakely, Bumphus, Tremblay, Garland, Thomas, Simmons, Terry, Bailey, and McNeil are listed as our DL. So in a 4 man front, who is playing where?

And if the said player(s) don’t want to change, then they bear no responsibility?? Seems the majority of the roster has bought into culture. As with any organization, there are always people who will not buy in regardless and it is best to remove them and move on.

It was a 10/10 hire...at the time. It's only with the benefit of hindsight that we know what happened. Shoop was strapped to a rocket in terms of his coaching stock when he came here. This stop severely damaged his career. Jancek was better than I thought at the time, but I'll never forgive 4th & 14 vs UF. We had that game. We had it.
Bruin was the only one that didn’t like the hire

This could be the poster child for every "Regular" at every beer joint in Nashville.

Yes!! I know it is used a lot but calling my team a product bothers me very much.
I despise those kind of words when it comes to sports...especially Tennessee Volunteer sports.."Product"..."Brand" etc. etc...I don't get emotionally invested in soup.

Who started that dumb **** anyway...talking idiot heads on ESPN?

I remember in 2017 thinking Greg Emerson, Andre Litaker, and Brent Lawson we’re gonna be in state lineman we built a defense around.

Good times.

Yeah I’ve learned not to get too excited about individual recruits.

I do believe you need highly ranked classes to have sustained success in the SEC and/or Playoffs so I don’t write off stars completely. But I think having a lot of highly ranked players just increases the odds that some of them will actually pan out. Hard to predict which ones will, though.
