The personification of guns….they’re committing more violent acts….

“Homicides in the first quarter of 2021 were 24 percent higher than during the same period in 2020, and 49 percent higher than in the first quarter of 2019. And according to the Gun Violence Archive, guns are driving much of that spike.”

So a change in the ability of a gun to be violent is the driving force in a 50% increase in violent crimes since 2019? No other factors?? Interesting.

Maybe there's some new force driving inanimate objects to make things happen. I'm going to leave all the needed washing supplies next to my truck tonight and see if it's all clean in the morning.

The guns have been on the shelf all last year when no one could afford to shoot them. Now with restrictions easing and 9mm under $4 a round they're acting out. I would like to see a tax on the 1% to fund summer camps and after school activities for the guns to keep them off the streets.

Wait, so they're saying it's only been "kinda, sorta" illegal to willfully transfer a firearm to a prohibited person up to this point? (I mean, unless it's the ATF doing obviously)

It's pretty interesting that the 2020 crime spike was blamed on the lockdowns(of which the majority of governors are Republicans) and the continuance of the crime wave is being blamed on the ending of lockdowns by GOP governors.

The ATL mayor basically blamed their spike in shootings and violent crimes on out of state people coming there because things opened up. Seems like that should be easy to prove by seeing where arrested parties are from. I'll go out on a limb and say the vast majority are locals.

Notice the guy filming was also on the phone with dispatch thus when the popo rolled up they knew exactly what to expect and the dude put his firearm down when police arrived.

Executed perfectly.
