First, all businesses need multi-factor authentication as a lack of such is how most of these are occurring, take the Colonial Pipeline for example. Second, Putin can’t stop people in his country from executing such attacks so some weak ass slap on the wrist means squat. Third, why are some ok but not others? Attacks are going to come whether from Russia or someone else. Businesses just need to up their protection game.
