The pitch count stuff is just new age baseball based off analytics and injuries…Some studies on it thinks injuries are more mechanics issues rather than overuse…. I feel it is a combination of the two……Look at the older pitchers….. Nolan Ryan once struck out 19 hitters over 13 innings in 235 pitches thrown.
I partially tore my UCL in junior high after I'd probably thrown 60 pitches, and fatigue was definitely involved.

It's probably both. If your mechanics are bad, it makes sense your arm is going to tire and wear faster than if you had good mechanics.

But as someone who has been in athletics for my entire life... I'm not going to listen to any expert or study that says fatigue has nothing to do with injury lol.
