I can’t believe they ranked Gavin Lux and his career 83 wRC+ over Ozzie. That is freaking hilarious

He's young. Maybe he's improved and this is the real Riley. If and When his numbers dip a little, he is better than a lot of other 3rd basemen.

Besides, who would play 3rd? Adrianza?

This will be unpopular, but I think last year was a fluke and this current version is closer to who we are, we gotta shake things up. We aren’t going anywhere. We have to take a long look in the mirror. I don’t think we need a full rebuild but I have no faith in ownership, front office or coaching staff.

We are about at a crossroads. What will we have to say of Ozuna’s contract? Wit our financial limitations, can we field a competitor and sign Freddie? I’m not so sure we can.

We still have plenty of talent that is under team control. We should be trying to win as much as possible until Ronnie and Ozzie are in the last year of their deal with how little they make. We have four position players in the top 100 overall prospects in Pache, Waters, Harris and Langeliers. We are still in good shape. This team isn’t perfect…I’ve lost a ton of faith in AA and I’m not sure we will ever win a WS with Snitker (especially this year). But despite this terrible, no good first 60 games or so…we are still only 3.5 GB in early June.

You might be right, but the team is only 3 games out of first. Hard to sell "shaking things up" to the fans when you're close to 1st.

Got to win the division because wildcards will be out of the West. The East is mediocre this year, so the division can be won by ATL.

Ozzie Albies is 11th all time in fWAR for 2B through their age 24 season and that’s with him playing 30 games last year and only a third through this season yet he’s the 17th best player under 25 in baseball? GTOF

3.5 is an indictment of our division. Snit and AA have me feeling hopeless about the future. I have no idea what they are thinking or doing anymore. Seems like there isn’t even a plan. Then, there is liberty media… sure feels like they aren’t going to increase budget anytime soon.

I hate to say it but with all the limitations we have, we probably need to let Freddie walk.

We are a middle of the pack team. I think the power rankings have us at about 16th which feels right. Winning a watered down division is always fun and dang feels like we have won a million since I’ve been a fan but time to aim higher or figure out a better way to exist within our means

I don’t disagree but that’s not happening with Liberty Media. As long as they are .500 or above everyone is keeping their job

The only thing I can think of is he’s been around for so long now you forget how young he still and take for granted how he’s been.
