If ODU is a #1 seed someone will have to host as 2
Tennessee was a host 2seed in 2001 against Wake Forest
How many host sites would that give the SEC?
Arkansas
Vandy
Tennessee
USC

Do the Mississippi schools and Florida host?
GBO!!

Did I mention I love stats

Can anyone guess what UT’s worst loss was? Sure, that Lipscomb loss.
But the 2nd worst may surprise you...

Texas A&M was
LSU was our best sweep but we really should have swept Florida if you remember that Sunday game
5-1 in extra inning games. The hose job on Wednesday kept Vols from perfect record
South Carolina was best road series win

That is interesting. The ladder is right, it’s a helluva lot harder to climb it than it is to fall off of it.

So according to the data, I’m guessing we are the 4 seed? No way Fairfield is ahead of Tennessee or TCU, right?
And surely we stay ahead of Texas?
GBO!!

I think we should be the #2 seed but I guess we’ll see. We have a better resume than Vandy IMO and we were projected as the #2 before the loss yesterday. I don’t think losing yo Arkansas while throwing mostly midweek arms should change that.

Just a hunch and not 100% positive how the seeding for Omaha would play out, I think the committee will try and put Arkansas and Vanderbilt in a situation where if they would both make it to Omaha they would knock one another out in the same side of the bracket and not allow a potential Arkansas - Vanderbilt CWS final.

Which I think would mean that if Arkansas was a 1 seed and Vanderbilt was a 2 seed, they would be in opposite brackets in Omaha and. The above could potentially happen.......Most experts would probably agree that would likely happen.

Giving UT a 2 seed, they are probably thinking we wouldn’t make it that far which would allow another conference to make it to the finals.

I hope we aren’t matched up with another SEC team in the supers. You know the committee doesn’t want 5-6 teams in Omaha. I don’t want to see UF again, which I think is a possibility.

Don't think the committee could do that. Vanderbilt would need to be a 4, 5, or 8 seed for that to happen. Dropping Vanderbilt to those seeds would be hard to justify. I believe it is more likely Tennessee would be a 4 seed than Vanderbilt.

With seven teams hosting; it would be a miracle if no teams are matched up. I bet South Carolina and Arkansas will be paired. SC will be a 2 seed in their own tourney and should be in the 16 slot. I bet Florida is sweating bullets with their record against Arkansas, Vanderbilt and Tennessee (2-8)

I just hope there are lots of homers being hit, because I’m sneaking in a sign that says “DONG” for every time we send one outta the yard!
I’m fully prepared to shout out my homies on Volnation.com!😎
GBO!!
Make it happen.

You also need a sign that says "He's due".
