so I guess the budget suggests revenues will go up $700 - 800 billion? based on current revenue the deficit would be higher. BTW a $800 billion increase in revenue would be just over a 20% increase in revenue (seems unrealistic)

truth. I'll still say that if we are to have deficits I'd rather they be from letting citizens keep more money than spending way more and raising some taxes.

the bigger issue for me is the purview expansion of the government

I wonder how much America spends via the budget compared to socialist regimes like Russia and China. Bet we look more socialist than they do.

ETA: Russia has a small budget surplus. btw. Russia recently spends about 17-18% of GDP; America spends 30%+.

I'm not justifying it, I'm just pointing out the hypocrisy of GOPers who suddenly seem alarmed at budget deficits when their Presidents authors them frequently as well.

How worried should the middle class, rural American be about the inflation we are seeing? Is this looking like a short term or long term situation? Hyperbole and partisan politics aside, I'm legitimately curious, I've seen this happen before and the end result wasn't great.
