I post this with a heavy heart today. My mother-in-law passed away this morning. She was a wonderful person with a heart of gold who lived a long and prosperous life--(96) years. Her body just couldn't go any more . My wife is having a difficult time today but she's a strong person and understands that her mom is in a much better place today. I've heard all the horror stories about mother-in-law's but she was truly a gift in my life. She will definitely be missed. RIP mom.
Vandy mentality....I was being dead serious about this whole bailing from the SEC thing. Just go to the ACC.. is there really much difference in playing NC State, Ga Tech, Louisville, Wake Forest than it is Kentucky, Mizzou, SC, Vandy? We’d replace UGA/UF with 2 of FSU/Miami/UNC and basically swap Bama for Clemson. We can pull top 25 classes off of name alone and losing the SEC brand won’t effect that.
It's not a loser mentality to want to escape corruption. If it were just about losing, you'd have a point. But it's not. The SEC is corrupt. We want to get out from under the corruption. You only need look at the scheduling for the 2020 season to see the corruption, let alone the calls and favoritism that Bama especially receives. Get the SEC offices out of Birmingham and that would be a good start.Vandy mentality....
Here's the clear shot. I just don't see how you can say this is not interference.
Just forget intent for a moment. Was the second basemen in the basepath? No. Did the slide affect the throw? Yes. Comon' you guys lol.
I think that call gets made every single time, 10 out of 10 times, in college or in the pros. That is just a terrible call. That's like calling pass interference on a hail Mary last second of the game with 15 players going for the ball. They score the winning run in the last inning and you make this kind of split second call where there isn't any kind of clear obvious attempt of interference? I bet that Ump's pockets are heavier now.
That guy, Chicago Gump says it all. Can't even spell Forearm. That is just a terrible call. Blaming corruption is definitely a loser mentality in my book. Sounds like some woke, participation trophy era $hit to me. I want UT to play against the best of the best for the rest of my life and if they moved down a conference I would lose all respect for the Vols. Winners don't make excuses and go all out no matter how the odds are stacked against them. I'd rather be the worst player on a winning team than the best player on a losing team, but maybe that's just me.It's not a loser mentality to want to escape corruption. Yes. Caring about corruption is a loser mentality. Hey guys, I know I beat you at poker with aces hidden up my sleeves, but you should just deal with it or you have a loser, participation trophy mindsetBlaming corruption is definitely a loser mentality in my book. You can say what you want to any player, you can even touch the player you just can't assist the player to the bag. Our first base coach did assist the player back to the bag but that player was already out. The umps overlooked nothing there.Gotta give the umps props, though.
They were corrupt and paid to let Bama win, yet on the play before the interference call, we had a live player walk halfway to the dugout before the coach told him to come back, and had the coach make contact with a player as well. Pretty crazy the umpires let that slide knowing they would have an opportunity to fix the game on the next one. Crazy.

Avoiding the fielder used to not be a thing. Hell, breaking up the play was what we were taught to do when I played. Then Chase Utley basically ended Ruben Tejada's career. Now, that isn't part of the game anymore.
If you contact the fielder outside the basepath, that's interference. MLB or college. Don't have to like it but we aren't playing by 2005's rules.
