Count on it...as EV's become more prominent, the environmental impacts of the nastiness of batteries will be proclaimed from the mountaintops.

Like I said in another thread, if they dont have to see it on the other side of the world, then it does not affect them.

After reading your post then the article, yes it most certainly does smack of Colonialism . Those miners in those places are going to work for king and country without even knowing it . Didn’t Ford already do this once using slave labor in Brazil with their rubber plantains , now they are going back after their metals ? Lol

I cannot see how we do not inflate at best or hyperinflate at worst. But the fed can't allow that because our interest on our debt will skyrocket.

We will see hyperinflation at some point and a collapse of the dollar. I don’t see how it can be prevented since regardless of who holds the power they think everything can be fixed by throwing money at it.

And the conventional wisdom is, once the dollar is worthless a new currency will eventually be created. At that time, all dollar denominated debt will be gone because the dollar doesn't exist anymore. Which wipes out federal debt...is that the way this is thought to work?

I’ve heard that theory but I can’t see how it work without massive civil unrest. Us citizens are the largest debt holders.
