Completely agree with you. But it's the same for the stars in college football, the NFL, NHL, soccer, etc. It happens especially in team sports that generate a lot of money. Money in sports is the real culprit here and there is no answer. I could seriously talk for days on the subject. I love athletic competition and hate the influence money has on it.

The NFL has much more parity than the others because how it is set up. MLB does too because of the nature of the game.
