It's crazy to me people believe this stuff.

Bama players out on the town terrorizing the townsfolk. All covered up by the police, NSA, and FBI.

OR

Success on the field breeds discipline. Discipline keeps you out of trouble. Winning on the field keeps the players out of trouble more often off the field.

The idea that "Winning = more thugs = more trouble" so the police must be covering everything up is insane. Why you would support CFB at all if you believe that it is dominated and run by criminals is equally crazy.

I think Saban has control of his team so no one is “terrorizing” but I also believe he has less to worry about with something actually coming to light should it go wrong.

I agree which is why I told ppl UT will never be UT being against coaches who do this or say integrity wins. What Pruitt was doing is the only way it will ever return. Crack all the jokes about McDs bags but those bags are needed in the worse of ways in Knoxville.
I agree 💯 but Pruitt sucked and made himself expendable. It was absolutely a “hit” on him which we can’t know the cost/benefit of for years to come.

I didn’t mean guys that were out committing felonies or terrorizing the town were overlooked..... Cops most certainly did overlook in the 90’s...... smaller transgressions such as marijuana possession, underage drinking, getting in fights..... coach was told about it and he dealt with the players.

Pruitt was and is a $hit coach who got blown out by the likes of Kentucky and Arkansas, kind of like how Fulmer was a $hit AD for wanting to keep that.
Second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh verse same as the first.

We get it. You think Fulmer is a POS who still got paid.

Time to move along.

If there is a talent deficit, you have to out scheme other teams offensively. Pruitt and crew were way too vanilla to ever out scheme anybody. Heupel and crew are creative enough to give us a chance
Agree with this, but I think we all agree that outscheming someone will only get you so far. We will need elite players to compete at the highest level and obviously the jury is still out regarding whether or not this staff can do that.

During our successful years..... we cheated like crazy.
But we cheated good. This moron put it out for everyone to see. I'm not claiming we're Lilly white. I know what goes on everywhere. I also know how the big time programs do it. I can assure you it doesn't involve McDonald's bags.

Can't stand the man. Couldn't stand him for his final two years here. Liked Butch and Dooley x100 more.

Probably wouldn't go as far to say he is all smoke and mirrors. That description is reserved for his good buddy and insurance salesman Niedermeyer. He couldn't manage players. He couldn't even manage his own staff. If he got one on one with a player I don't have any doubt he could teach them for hours on correct hand placement. That just isn't the job though. And the fact that Phil and company couldn't discover that through the interview process is shameful.
Call me when he writes the book "Covering slants for dummies ".

Maybe @bignewt can co-author

Can someone put Pruitt's face on this gif? This is basically how he was cheating.

I thought the McDonald’s bags stuff was made up nonsense..... we turned ourselves..... that didn’t happen in the 90’s..... Doug Dickey didn’t give a d&mn..... he was the one that wouldn’t give free ice to fans that were passing out at a UT football game.

Phil's arthritis equalizes the health conditions by quite a bit. I'll be honest, I thought he was done. On the contrary, he not only won the thing but had the longest drive of the week on 16 in the 4th round.

On Tiger, his issues were mostly self-induced by going overboard on training and (insert substance here), but his feat was almost just as amazing. I just always had the feeling he would and could come back. Age was on his side. It wasn't on Phil's.

And yes, Phil looked almost like he didn't care that he won. Barely hoisted the trophy, wife wasn't there, ho-hum speech. It seemed more like a guys weekend golf trip to him.
I think you don't understand how bad Tigers health was...but we gonna have to agree to disagree here. Phil takes medication that helps a ton with his Psoriatic arthritis...according to his own mouth.

Also..whatever Tiger did or didn't do to destroy his body is irrelevant, the fact is...he was in really bad shape. To further illustrate my point, he was sidelined for a lot of the last two years, again due to health...Phil will be playing for years yet. His reaction yesterday compared to Tigers after winning the Masters kind of shows to me that he wasn't that surprised to win again.

Both feats are amazing...I will just always believe Tigers is the best.

We turned ourselves in because we had to to minimize the damage. It was brought to the university president. It was too out in the open. Even back then they had to be discrete. I can promise you Saban has no idea who gets what. He directs people to the players he wants and people outside the employ of the University of Alabama do the dirty deeds. He or his coaches never gets their hands dirty.

I have a proposal for the group. It has nothing to do with marriage, morans. After LA is done in the playoffs this season, whether they win it all or not, can we all just agree to cease this discussion until at least next NBA season? I am sorry, but I think it is one of our worst topics of all time. In other words, this the GOAT bad topic of discussion.

The man hasn't done anything but play ball. He has never gotten in trouble. I don't understand what he has done that annoys you.
To me it’s several things........ his flopping..... his televised event when he announced going to Miami.... running around trying to stack teams..... his whining..... his political viewpoints(don’t care if I agree or don’t agree but I just want to watch sports)....

Things where he lost my respect..... scoring 16-17 points in a close out game against the mavs......a true star would never.
Things that make me think he is in the convo for one of the greatest ever......66 wins with that Cavs team.....the win versus golden state although that was aided by a suspension/injury if memory serves me correctly.

I do respect his off the court charity work but it’s about what annoys me as an athlete.

I can agree with that..... I don’t know if it was too blatant or Jeremy made too many enemies that wanted him gone. All anyone has to do is walk by the athletes parking lot to know what is going on.
