It's coming from my experience of unjust corporeal punishment I suppose. I believe I acknowledged this was not the totality of my experience but I assure you the injustice stayed with me.Why so serious? I’m just saying there’s no way I would’ve dared my dad to whip me harder. That’s asking for it.. he wouldn’t have just stopped giving me whippings haha. My mom, yes... not so much my dad
"Joe Jackson has proved you can beat your kid to greatness. But there is a fine line. You want to beat him just enough so he gives you the Thriller album... but no so much that he touches little boys ." - Daniel Tosh
This is a good point. My son what created in my image therefore I have to get all over him in many forms because he’s an idiot as I was. My daughter is sweet as the day is long and I’ve had to search carefully to find something to punish her on just so she l knows I will, but harsh words alone from me can crush her world. Are you holding a belt when they say that?
I keed I keed.
Kids are way different from one another. Some kids will not learn their lesson any other way, some kids will get severe mental anguish from getting hit when timeout would have worked just fine. Good parenting is knowing your kid and doing the minimum to get the message across imo.

I don't know your dad and I don't mean this disparingly, but that's really nothing to be proud of. Funny that this child beating topic follows right on the heels of the alcoholism discussion.
Also beautiful. Where is that?Beautiful..this was one of the places we went today..
