President Joe Biden - Kamala Harris Administration

No doubt in my mind there is leftward drift. Look at the Ds of the 60s and 70s. More conservative than the "conservative" Rs today.
I think the same was true from 1760 to 1821 or 1860 to 1921 and it will be the same from 2060 to 2121.

In a car it would be considered out of alignment. But of course there are always the lazy who continue to drive even though the person behind them can see all 4 tires clearly. They also never understand why they buy new tires every year

The move left is due to laziness and govt dependence. It's not the direction taken by a prosperous nation
It's the evolutionary direction taken by mankind.

It's a flaw in our genetics. One that will lead to our extinction.

Thanos was on to something. Possibly the devious conclusion to fundamental progressivism at its core? The world cannot be perfect because that assumes no God. That is why according to a new poll 43% of millennials don't believe God exists. There is a segment of this country that has failed another segment.

You'd think all those lefties getting useless degrees would have taken a history elective at some point.

People only see history in terms of winners and losers, good and bad. They don't take the time to actually study it. I love it but understand others don't. Even if they studied it most don't understand how and why, only the end result.

I think that was a very common sentiment in 1721, 1821, and 1921.

Luther must have blocked me because I don't see his notifications. Lol. Cancel culture. They're so juvenile.

But regarding the above post, the naivete in comparing today with those times is the reason many empires have fallen. "It can't happen to us."

I've never blocked anyone. Why would I?

Do history classes teach history anymore?
Not usually in public school.

The difference in detail between my history classes where the teacher outright ignored the SOLs (world history and one US history class) and the ones where the teachers adhered to the "standard" (i.e., garbage) were night and day. I am much better off for them.

Of course, my mother is a history teacher and massive history buff, so we grew up going to battlefields, museums, historical sites, and all kinds of neat places. That helped me learn that history is very much alive.
