Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Note these eased masking requirements will only take effect for fully vaccinated Californians. If you're not vaccinated, you'll still be required to wear a mask. How will businesses be able to tell the difference? That's trickier. Health and Human Services Secretary Dr. Mark Ghaly said the state is working on writing up best practices that businesses will be able to follow come June 15.

Scary stuff.

miraculous turn around in Alabama - May 14 had almost 5000 cases; May 17 had 288...

(they are counting a huge backlog of 4000+ and 2000+ cases as occurring on 2 days). The real count has been 200-400/day but our 7 day average is almost 1400 as a result.
That fourth wave is still coming! You wait and see!

I'd like to see that demand of the proprietor stand up to HIPPA laws.
If you don't want to get vaccinated that's fine. Just don't expect the civilized world to cater to you when we are moving forward with our lives. It's as simple as that. Hopefully you have Amazon prime.

HIPPA laws would not prevent a business from being able to ask you in order for you to gain entry. But business aren't going to turn down 30-40% of the population. It's going to be honor system and then forgotten about. I know this is about face coverings below but the logic applies

thank you for permission to do what I choose.
Between natural immunity, acquired immunity, and those genetically special folks who a were born with immunity, all you vaxxed people are completely safe.

Trust the science.

You think it's the same, face masks to vaccine? Seems different to me. May not be. But feels like it is.
The law isn't different bc HIPPA only applies certain providers. Medical/insurance companies. Not business. But again, what Tyler is suggesting will never happen. Look what happening now. It's all honor system for the companies that have dropped mask mandates.

Not HiPaa. Sorry. right to privacy.

The fundamental right to privacy, guaranteed by the Fifth and Fourteenth Amendments to the U.S. Constitution, protects against unwarranted invasions of privacy by federal or state entities, or arms thereof. As early as Roe v. Wade, 410 U.S. 113 (1973), the U.S. Supreme Court acknowledged that the doctor-patient relationship is one which evokes constitutional rights of privacy. Because the Supreme Court has found that a fundamental right of privacy exists as to medical information about a person, private causes of action (against defendants other than federal or state entities) also exist for alleged violations of privacy rights (e.g., “invasion of privacy”). This right would extend to the privacy of any medical information contained in medical records.
