Actually, it’s biblically so. “Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me”.Lol at the people who said we are in a rebuilding phase…. Huepel and staff are literally trying to win and win now. They have picked up some really really good talent out of the transfer portal.
This staff impresses me.
if those three games are Bama UGA and FL I agree, but I think looking at the transfer by a black and white metric is the wrong POV. Do these transfers give us a better opportunity vs Pitt, MIZ, SC, OM, and KY? Absolutely. Like your last point - these transfers don’t guarantee 3 extra wins on the schedule, but they do increase the odds of say 7 or 8 rather than 5 or 6. I don’t get looking at it from some “fundamental truth” perspective. It doesn't matter if you are a fan of it or not, it is still a fundamental truth..none of these transfers are going to make us three games better. I do believe they make a disastrous season much less likely.
If our defense is statistically average, then our players and staff will have done something very special imo. We were 69/127 teams last year in scoring defense. To hold steady would be absolutely fantastic after losing our 3 (4?) best defensive players. We are going to be much better on offense since it what appears JH try's to match the talent with the system he runs and not trying to do things your talent is not suited to do. If the D can just be Average and not great we will surprise a lot of people. Dept will be an issue so I would not be surprised to see several 60 or 80 point total games. To be honest I don't care if every opponent scores 50 points as long as we score 51.
Where our program is right now, I’ll take non disastrous.
Does Fulmer deserve any credit for the success of the other programs?I know football is king, and we need to get it right. But, our athletic department is actually very successful right now.
I would like to know if any school is better if you look at men's and women's basketball, baseball, softball, golf, and tennis. I believe track and field is also ranked. No wonder Danny White wanted to come here.
