I know football is king, and we need to get it right. But, our athletic department is actually very successful right now.

I would like to know if any school is better if you look at men's and women's basketball, baseball, softball, golf, and tennis. I believe track and field is also ranked. No wonder Danny White wanted to come here.

This is all true. But when your flagship is sinking, it makes it appear as though you’re losing the battle.

If we have even a decent season this fall, the perception of UT athletics will improve dramatically.

Dang it to heck!

Let’s see how these new age transfers perform! Doesn’t feel like the whole “50-50 shot” of the past. Not very likely the Auburn DB, Michigan and Texas LBs, or the Kansas DT transfer if not for the immediately eligibility. I think these guys can contribute right now. I’ve never been a fan of the whole “he needs X number of years to rebuild” talk and it appears Heupel isn’t interested in that either! Going to be an interesting fall. Let’s go!

One of those rare places that do. All the hype about Harbor Town made me excited to play it years ago. There were maybe 4 holes that were worth the hype and cost. The Heron Point course there in Sea Pines was a much better track at a lower cost IMO.

Try not to let it get in your head when you go because it is visually beautiful, but intimidating. To score there you needed to be a shot maker and not try to pound it. Work on your wedges and chipping in particular.

Oh, it will get in my head, nothing I can do about that. 😂.

The keys you mentioned are why we haven’t gone yet. I know I’m going to need to be more consistent with my irons before playing there. I’m more of a bomb it off the tee and stumble through the approach shots type player. I’m a fairly decent putter once I’m on the greens but I need to get better with my irons. That’s why I’ve been taking some lessons and working on my swing. It’s still going to demolish me either way, but I’d at least like to be able to hit the occasional nice shot there. Will make it that much more enjoyable when I go.

It is nice. Ask the caddie to let you play that par 3 at the pga tees. It was about 240 into the wind to a raised green. I hit driver, smoked it and came up a lil short. Played it 6-7 times through the years in scrambles. When the wind picks up it is crazy different.

The wind around the harbor is unreal. I’ve played a couple different places in Charleston where it feels calm on the course and then you hit the harbor holes and it’s a completely different ball game. I naturally hit my irons a mile high too so the wind completely kills my game. Trying to work on that.

It doesn't matter if you are a fan of it or not, it is still a fundamental truth..none of these transfers are going to make us three games better. I do believe they make a disastrous season much less likely.

Crouch and Morris were rated high due to their high school rating. Guess they didn’t watch last years TN game film.
Didn't see Crouch anywhere in the top 10 tbf. 247 actually rated him as an 84 transfer. That's a very low 3 star for P5 types. I believe Gray was the other guy with Morris and Toots.

Thing about all of our transfers is they’ve either one started or were projected to get time on their current roster. That makes them good pickups.

One of my benchmarks for success was to watch and see how many of our guys transferred after Spring practice.

We look pretty good (to date) in that regard, which I hope means Heupel and the new staff have done a good job of building camaraderie and giving these guys a reason to stick around.
VQ made it sound like there would be an exodus
