I’m sorry to see this, especially in one so young. I hope it’s along the same experience I had with Covid itself. They usually don’t do treatment unless he has trouble breathing or in my case, a secondary infection.
I should have said the treatment will go with what his symptoms are, like fever, etc.

Hope that he (and maybe others) sail through fine. If they don’t have other conditions, they should do well after a bit of ughhh. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 Please keep us posted! And try not to worry too badly.

—Are your son and DIL vaccinated?

My youngest nephew had it and had less symptoms than my brother and SIL.

But fine with visiting people, even outside, after testing positive. 🙄😡🙄

EDIT: sorry, I misunderstood what you wrote about the former nanny and thought she had visited while knowing she was positive. I’m a bit addled today! Too much going on. ✈️

She has not been with them since Dec. but she loved boys and boys loved her, so much that she stayed in communication with the kids. Lapse came when she stopped by for a brief visit last Friday. No one believes she knew she was covid positive until she went to doc for test on Monday

Do kids generally have issues with it? Seems like everything I've heard suggests that very few children have anything beyond mild symptoms and most have none.
My 2 year old grandson was positive twice and only had mild fever - I was even around him both times and I was negative both times

Oh sorry, I meant the nanny visiting with a positive test. Goodness, not your grandson! EDIT: I misread, see next post.

Yes, we’re here at the airbnb. I drop her off tomorrow at 5:45 am (!), and I think if her boss had her way, she’d be on the phone working as they insert the IV. ☹️ She has been on work calls since I got to her house 3 hours ago, INCLUDING in the car on the way from her house to where we’re staying. Sheesh.

Good luck with your neuro visit! The brain can be amazingly resilient.

meaning she had the virus when she saw Dylan on Friday.
Son and daughter had been extremely careful w/ boys. They had been having all meals at home and the only closde contact they had with adults around that time was a trip to dentist and all were masked. Woman who cuts their hair is always masked
oh my inf----d brain

Some clarification about covid exposure and nanny:
She called DIL to ask if she could park in front of son and DIL's house in order to meet up with her daughter who was afraid to go to a tatoo parlor w/o accompaniment (geez)

While waiting for daughter she got out of car when she saw boys outdoors.

Lot of anger going around that has s not acknowledged that she was the likely source of Dylan contracting virus

dylan didn't get out of bed until he passed 14 consecutive hours of sleep. Had my wife concerned, but he was goin' great guns thanks to 'roids. younger brother has only run slightl above-normal temp. Photos today showed then having fun -- but they're still limited to their backyard.
