Well that’s true they did take the training wheels off him. I’m just meaning like he had a full offseason to prepare and focus on hitting and defense only he’d get even better. He’s already a monster at the plate.

That's the story of baseball. Trout and Ohtani, as good as they are, cannot carry an entire baseball team. They are just 2 bats in a lineup of 9, and Ohtani pitches every 5th game.

I think it's also why baseball has a harder time marketing stars than other sports, but a lot of that is also the league's incompetence and backward-looking ways.
