The Atlanta Braves

There’s like 5 other factors that are contributing to lower ratings but sure whatever political narrative you wanna push!
Not political at all. Just would’ve figured that the ratings wouldn’t have up and died under the best commissioner in professional sports. Funny how other major sport’s viewerships didn’t fall off despite inadequate leadership. Doesn’t compute!

My “political” comment wasn’t mean to be directed at you.

I'm not sure an NBA audience is turned off by them going woke. That audience is woke to begin with...it is why the NBA is more woke than MLB/NFL/NHL (not the other way around). They know the woke s**t will be well received.

Similar deal with ESPN - their ratings started slipping, so they went woke. There's no doubt ESPN is left politically, but people get the sequence confused. It's go broke, get woke.

We can talk about the terrible product if you want. Either way, it all adds up to Adam Silver not being boy wonder

I will say that the NBA is slowly became a “just watch the playoffs league” and I’m curious what the answer would be. A bunch of stars have been hurt/resting, the product because of 3’s has kind of killed individual/team styles.

Honest question: how many 55 year old conservatives were watching the NBA pre bubble? I’d say probably not a lot.

My solution that would help the NBA with play style. ..make the court wider and move the three point line back

Extend the 3 line because not everyone has the range of Curry, Dame etc. Up the physicality allowed underneath some. Correct the salary cap where teams can't stack 3 superstars and some other dudes so talent is actually spread among the league.

The “soft” salary cap hurts and helps. For example. The Bucks were able to build a really good team around Giannis because of that. But it’s way too easy to circumvent with trades. For example, sign and trades

I agree they're not a bad example. But a hard cap where let's say 2 max players can be signed would still let teams do that. Role players like Richardson or Middelton just wouldn't be getting max contracts but still would make plenty. Then it would break up teams like Brookyn, LA, GSW a few years ago etc..
