Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

because outside members have a relatively minimal impact on ones own safety in comparison to your own ability to impact your safety.
Who argued differently?
Do you consider the safety and well being of your wife when you make decisions?
How about your kids?
Grandkids?
Grandparents?
Uncles?
Aunts?
Second cousins?
Friends?
Co-workers?
Children?
Neighbors?

Where does your consideration of the safety and wellbeing of others begin and end?

when I directly impact them. If I am having symptoms I stay away from people. I don't care what the symptoms are, Covid or not. If I am sick, I stay away, I see no reason to act like I am sick when I am presenting no reason to think that I am. Thats one of a number of things that makes no sense about our response to this virus.

The healthy are treated like they are lepers.

she may think my gas is worse than my Covid.
and masks/no masks doesn't make a difference to her choice.

Coronabros ain't gonna like this

If COVID-19 Herd Immunity Is 'Not Attainable,' Does It Matter?

But the Times says widespread immunity, especially among Americans who are most vulnerable to the disease, still can be expected to dramatically reduce hospitalizations and deaths.
Are you wondering what the practical difference is? So am I.

I was never under the disillusion that we would achieve herd immunity.

That was the lazy Republicans plan, aka, do nothing, let everyone get sick or die and hopefully achieve herd immunity

It takes decades

Exactamundo.

So, what you are seeing in most of the country is not that a majority of the population has either been vaccinated, recovered from infection, or has underlying immunity -- a phenomenon known as "herd immunity," as it might seem.

Instead, the dramatic decline of cases and hospitalizations is the result of magic. Once the spell has been lifted, expect an imminent 19th wave.

ok treated differently than healthy people have been acceptably treated in this country ever. at least all a leper had to do was social distance. may be a great way for me to lose a few more pounds too.

There are at least 3 false statements in that post 🙂

The Republican plan was 1) to develop vaccines at warp speed (good plan, and NOT lazy), and 2) let Fauci advise us as to what to do in the meantime. #2 turned out to be a really stupid thing to do.

I'm with you on that. Out of respect and a sense of responsibility to others, I stay away when I have symptoms and think I might be contagious. It becomes more difficult when I have no symptoms but think I may be contagious.

Why is it that conservatives are so obtuse to the fact that personal accountability encompasses the consideration of the safety and wellbeing of others. (I know)

Because it doesn’t. Me choosing not to wear a mask or get a vaccine doesn’t affect anyone else.

It’s like when you argued Trump was responsible for Jan 6th. It’s ridiculous.

If they believed in personal accountability they wouldn't be conservatives or covidiots.

The same people violently stormed the United States Capitol building and are surprised when they get arrested. They have no concept of taking responsibility for your actions!!

Wearing a mask to protect others? Ha!
