All Thangs Pussum and Chad Thread

Everything drops into a cleanable, easy to remove drip pan
Uh huh. You gone cook non splattering and non spillable food?

I ain't hating on your oven man, I love those and that's what I would have bought if I hadn't found this one. I just look at those and don't want to have to keep one clean.

You’re missing the best part of said oven. And my friend getting it has done splattering and Spillable food. Their’s is relatively spotless (relatively due to slight build up on the glass pane)

I didn't know it mattered. To me there's the oval type and the toaster oven type. Mines simple and only air fries. No pressure cooker, roaster, microwave, etc.

I was looking at ovens and they are starting to come with Air fryer's. But I thought s toaster oven type of one would be better. I just don't see how you cook tuna in that.

2 large Portobellos degilled and marinated with Balsamic vinegar and olive oil.

Red onion, garlic, fresh jalapeno, stem and gills from the mushrooms and crushed red pepper flakes with Kinders The Blend seasoning (garlic, salt and pepper) all sauteed in Ponzu and olive oil.

Next....
Sounds like mine I'm about to start production.

Got it. I haven’t cooked with “normal” ones, just my Duo. It’s a little hard to visualize the differences.

Mine’s easy to clean as well, other than not really knowing what might be going on inside the lid.

I am very curious as to how the "multi-function" types work as well. Our two are oval-shaped. Looking back, it's hard to imagine how we got by without them. HA

I forgot to take pics, that was the only reason I described it, so I could show the finished product.

They were delicious!

Cooked the mushrooms at 350 for 12 minutes. Let them cool then filled them with the sauteed stuff. Put a slice of tomato on top of that and then blue cheese crumbles.

Then in the air fryer at 370 for 8 minutes. Cheese got golden brown on top. Drizzled the buttery Sciabica olive oil on top and finished with a little chiffonade basil and peppercorn medley.

So this is one type of multi-function, I guess. There’s one top for pressure cooking function, and this one for air frying. The 8-quart steel Instant Pot... pot holds the grey air fryer canister with all the holes for the convection air current.

The top holds the heating element and the blower, and it only gets maybe 10% of any airborne grease etc., but 100% of the cleaning hassles. It’s hard to get a dryish scrubber in there, and I’m sure not going to submerse it for the attention of the Soaking Fairy. 🧚‍♀️

So yes, it needs mopping. But it works like a champ, cooking multiple batches at once, with the only awkwardness being trying to wedge a while chicken into a cylindrical cooking vessel.

I had a Foodi and ended up giving it away. I got another air fryer with the pull out basket on a handle. Easier to use imo. Course I had to get another pressure cooker too, cause I gave away my first af and pc when I got the foodi.
