I've been critical of policing as there are definitely problems that need to be addressed. But to consider the actual data here? 402 unarmed people killed in 6 years, out of around 320,000,000 interactions (BJS reported 53.5mil interactions in 2015) is demonstrably low. Just to put this into perspective, influenza killed 51 children aged 10-14 in 2017. That amounts to 306 over a 6 year period. Schools don't even close for flu outbreaks most of the time. WHY DON'T THEY CARE ABOUT CHILDREN.

I categorize police brutality with rifle homicides. They grab headlines but are statistically near impossible to be a legitimate danger. This is mostly a situation where a certain event is being pushed to cause psychological distress amongst the population.
