2021 Countdown to Bowling Green

140 days.......

In 1987, Reggie Cobb started out as a third string tailback. The local kid made a fast impression on not only the SEC, but the entire country when he ran for over 100 yards in his first game vs Iowa. Cobb would finish is first season with 1,197 yards rushing and 20 TDs (3 via receptions.) Cobb would have several 100 yard games in ‘87, including 140 yards rushing vs Georgia Tech and Vanderbilt.

Reggie was a racehorse and he showed he was for real by being a Pro Bowl running back with the Buccaneers. It's sad how things ended up for him at Tennessee.

Stanley Morgan and Larry Seivers are the first two players that I actually remember watching. In 1975, dad started letting me take a friend to one game a year with our 4 season tickets. I choose that Auburn game. Larry Seivers caught 109 yards of passes and Stanley Morgan ran for 138
yards
in the Vols 21-17 victory. That continued until I graduated college in 1993. Thanks dad!
